| dc.description | La investigación tuvo como objetivo la adaptación y validación del cuestionario sobre el trato de los niños hacia los animales (CTAQ). El estudio, de tipo instrumental, contó con la participación de 251 estudiantes de entre 7 y 12 años, quienes cursaban primaria en colegios privados y públicos de las provincias Guanentá y Comunera, en el departamento de Santander. La validez del constructo se evaluó mediante el Análisis Factorial Exploratorio (AFE), utilizando para ello la matriz policórica, el análisis paralelo de Horn, el método de mínimos cuadrados robustos no ponderados (RULS) y rotación oblicua. El análisis se realizó en RStudio en dos etapas: primero, se analizó la matriz de correlación policórica para detectar ítems problemáticos; luego, tras la eliminación de los ítems detectados, se ejecutó el AFE. Finalmente, se determinó la fiabilidad de la prueba adaptada mediante el método Alfa de Cronbach. El AFE de la prueba CTAQ reveló una estructura unifactorial compuesta por 11 ítems que explicaron el 52 % de la varianza. El test de KMO y la prueba de Bartlett obtuvieron valores de 0,87 y un p<0,05, respectivamente. El alfa de la prueba adaptada fue de 0,87. | es |
| dc.description | The present research aimed at adapting and validating the questionnaire on the treatment of children towards animals (CTAQ). An instrumental study was conducted with the participation of 251 students, aged between 7 and 12, who were attending primary school in the department of Santander, in private and public schools in the provinces of Guanentá and Comunera. The construct validity was evaluated through Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA), using the polychoric matrix, Horn's parallel analysis, the unweighted robust least squares (RULS) method, and oblique rotation. This analysis was performed in RStudio in two stages: first, the polychoric correlation matrix of the scale was analyzed to detect problematic items; then, after the elimination of the detected items, the EFA was conducted. Finally, the reliability of the adapted test was determined using Cronbach’s Alpha. The EFA of the CTAQ test revealed a unifactorial structure that explained 52 % of the variance in the data. The KMO test and Bartlett´s test obtained values of 0,87 and a p<0,05, respectively, Cronbach's Alpha for the adapted test was 0.87. It is concluded that the version of the Questionnaire on the Treatment of Children Towards Animals (CTAQ), adapted for the Colombian context and consisting of 11 items, is an instrument with good psychometric properties. | en |
