dc.descriptionEl presente artículo analiza las estrategias gerenciales de internacionalización y adaptación local que deben implementar las empresas multinacionales para incursionar con éxito en nuevos mercados. En un contexto global caracterizado por la alta competencia, la diversidad cultural y la transformación digital, las decisiones estratégicas deben ser tomadas con base en un conocimiento profundo del entorno local, sin perder de vista los objetivos corporativos globales. A partir de una revisión documental de 40 artículos científicos extraídos de bases de datos como Scopus y ScienceDirect, se identificaron prácticas exitosas, desafíos comunes y marcos estratégicos clave utilizados por empresas en diferentes sectores. Los hallazgos revelan que las estrategias de entrada, como las alianzas estratégicas, las filiales propias y las franquicias, deben seleccionarse en función del nivel de control deseado, el riesgo institucional y la capacidad de adaptación. Asimismo, se destaca el dilema entre estandarización y adaptación, donde las estrategias híbridas resultan más efectivas en la práctica. La influencia de los factores culturales, normativos y geográficos también emerge como elemento crítico para el diseño de una estrategia eficaz. Igualmente, se identificó el rol fundamental del liderazgo gerencial y la descentralización táctica como mecanismos para garantizar una ejecución coherente y flexible. Finalmente, se reconocen tendencias emergentes como la sostenibilidad, la digitalización y la resiliencia como ejes transformadores en la estrategia global. Se concluye que una visión gerencial integral, capaz de articular el análisis del entorno local con una planificación estratégica global, aumenta significativamente las probabilidades de éxito en los procesos de internacionalización empresarial
dc.description.abstractThis article analyzes the managerial strategies of internationalization and local adaptation that multinational companies must implement to successfully enter new markets. In a global context marked by high competitiveness, cultural diversity, and digital transformation, strategic decisions must be based on a deep understanding of the local environment while maintaining alignment with global corporate objectives. Based on a documentary review of 40 scientific articles retrieved from databases such as Scopus and ScienceDirect, this study identified successful practices, common challenges, and key strategic frameworks used by companies across various sectors. The findings reveal that market entry strategies—such as strategic alliances, wholly owned subsidiaries, and franchising—should be selected based on the desired level of control, institutional risk, and adaptability. The dilemma between standardization and adaptation is also emphasized, where hybrid strategies prove to be more effective in real-world applications. The influence of cultural, regulatory, and geographical factors emerges as a critical element in designing an effective international strategy. Furthermore, the study highlights the essential role of managerial leadership and tactical decentralization as mechanisms to ensure flexible and coherent execution. Finally, emerging trends such as sustainability, digitalization, and resilience are identified as transformative pillars in global strategic planning. It is concluded that an integrated managerial vision—capable of articulating the analysis of the local environment with global strategic planning—significantly increases the likelihood of success in internationalization processes for multinational enterprises
