dc.descriptionIntroducción: El conocimiento de la anatomía del sistema de conductos radiculares es un factor determinante para no incurrir en una instrumentación incompleta del conducto radicular y así evitar la falta de eliminación del factor etiológico bacteriano, causante de la patología pulpar y periapical. El método de exploración y la clasificación de las variaciones morfológicas influyen en el éxito del tratamiento. Objetivo: describir las variaciones anatómicas del sistema de conductos radiculares de incisivos inferiores clasificadas y reportadas en estudios, utilizando tomografía computarizada de haz cónico y micro tomografía computarizada entre el año 2010 y 2020. Metodología: se realizó un estudio de fuentes secundarias tipo Scoping review, la búsqueda de la literatura se realizó en cuatro bases de datos: PubMed, EBSCO, ScienceDirect y Scopus. Se recopilaron 413 artículos de los cuales 35 cumplieron con criterios de inclusión. Resultados: la tomografía computarizada de haz cónico (CBCT) fue el método más utilizado en análisis de variaciones anatómicas de incisivos inferiores con un 87,5 %, la clasificación más utilizada fue la de Vertucci, con un 77.5% y la configuración más frecuente fue la tipo I con una media de 67,74 (DE 16,95) para los incisivos centrales y una media de 64.72 (DE 14,73) para los incisivos laterales. Así mismo, se evidenciaron otras variaciones morfológicas como la configuración tipo III, II y V. Conclusiones: la presencia de una sola raíz con un solo conducto suele ser lo más usual, hay un porcentaje importante que posee dos o más canales, pocos estudios, reportaron detalles sobre la posición del foramen apical, la cantidad total de foraminas, la dirección de la curvatura radicular, la presencia de conductos accesorios y de anastomosis transversal.spa
dc.description.abstractIntroduction: Knowledge of the anatomy of the root canal system is a determining factor to avoid incurring an incomplete instrumentation of the root canal and thus avoid the lack of elimination of the bacterial etiological factor, which causes the pulp and periapical pathology. The method of examination and the classification of morphological variations influence the success of the treatment. Aims: describe the anatomical variations of the lower incisor root canal system classified and reported in studies; using cone beam computed tomography and micro computed tomography between 2010 and 2020. Materials and Methods: A Scoping review-type study of secondary sources was carried out,the literature search was carried out in four medical databases: PubMed, EBSCO, ScienceDirect and Scopus. 413 articles were collected, of which 35 studies were used for qualitative synthesis and 30 for quantitative synthesis. Results: Cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) was the most used method with 87.5%, the most used classification was Vertucci, with 77.5% and the most frequent configuration was type I with a mean of 67.74 (SD 16.95) for the central incisors and a mean of 64.72 (SD 14.73) for the lateral incisors. Likewise, other morphological variations were evidenced such as type III, II and V configuration. Conclusion: Asia was the continent with the highest number of publications, for its part; in Colombia no studies were found showing a gap in knowledge in the country.spa
