El propósito de este artículo es visibilizar el plano de consistencia de tres regímenes de verdad asociados a diferentes producciones históricas del cinocéfalo. Esto con el motivo de visibilizar, por medio de la “caja de herramientas” derivadas de la arqueología de Michel Foucault, formaciones discursivas que desencadenaran en la emergencia simbólica de la expresión “caníbal” asignada por parte de Cristóbal Colón, objetivando eventualmente por vía de metátesis a los pueblos caribeños. Así pues, se desarrollan tres estratos como subapartados: del siglo XVI hasta el siglo XIII, del siglo XIII hasta el siglo I d. C. y del siglo V a. C. hasta el siglo XXXI a. C. Por último, se proponen conclusiones claves sobre la relación bipartita saber-poder.
The purpose of this article is to render visible the plane of consistency of three regimes of truth associated with different historical productions of the cynocephalus. The aim is to make visible, through the “toolbox” derived from Michel Foucault’s archaeology, discursive formations that led to the symbolic emergence of the expression “cannibal” ascribed by Christopher Columbus, which eventually, by way of metathesis, objectified Caribbean peoples. Three strata are thus developed as subsections: from the sixteenth to the thirteenth century, from the thirteenth century to the first century AC, and from the fifth century BC to the thirty-first century BC. Finally, key conclusions are proposed concerning the bipartite relation of power/knowledge.
