Esta investigación de tipo narrativo muestra la razón y la manera en que abordé dentro de mis clases de inglés valores a través de historias bíblicas con los estudiantes de grado quinto del Colegio Cristiano G.A.D en La Vega Cundinamarca, así como mi experiencia como maestra de inglés en un colegio cristiano sobre el desarrollo de estas clases. Los datos de esta investigación fueron obtenidos de diferentes instrumentos que corresponden a la investigación narrativa. Yo analicé los datos y clasifiqué códigos para obtener categorías. Con los hallazgos de esta investigación pretendo mostrar la importancia de involucrar valores en asignaturas como inglés para apostarle a una educación integral que se preocupe no solo por el aprendizaje, sino también por el estudiante. Así mismo, a través de mi experiencia en la enseñanza del idioma inglés quiero contribuir con otros docentes en formación como ejercicio de reflexión sobre la labor docente y una revisión de los procesos de enseñanza-aprendizaje del idioma inglés.
Abstract
This narrative research shows why and how I approached values in the English classes through Biblical stories with the fifth-grade students of Christian School G.A.D in La Vega Cundinamarca, as well as my experience as an English teacher in the same school while I development of those classes. Data of this research were obtained from different instruments that correspond to the narrative research. I analyzed data, and classified codes to get categories. With the findings of this research, I intend to show the importance of involving values in subjects such as English to bet on an integral education that is concerned not only with learning but also with the student. Likewise, through my experience in English language teaching, I want to contribute to other pre-service teachers as a reflection exercise on the teaching work and a review of the teaching-learning processes of the English language.
