La formación integral es considerada como asunto central del sistema educativo, a tal punto que se ha normatizado a las instituciones educativas, en nuestro caso de Educación Superior.
En Colombia la ley 115 le da especial realce: “El pleno desarrollo de la personalidad, sin más limitaciones que las que le imponen los derechos de los demás y el orden jurídico, dentro de un proceso de formación integral, física, psíquica, intelectual, moral, espiritual, social, afectiva, ética, cívica y demás valores humanos” (Ley 115, art. 5). Al indagar en torno al término formación, se evidencia que puede abordarse desde diferentes fuentes del saber, tales como: el uso popular, las indagaciones etimológicas, los aportes de las ciencias sociales e incluso la filosofía (Zarzar, 2003, p.25-30).
Abstract
Comprehensive education is considered a central issue of the educational system, to the point that it has been standardized in educational institutions, in our case, Higher Education.
In Colombia, Law 115 gives it special emphasis: "The full development of the personality, with no limitations other than those imposed by the rights of others and the legal system, within a process of comprehensive physical, psychological, intellectual, moral, spiritual, social, emotional, ethical, civic, and other human values" (Law 115, art. 5). When investigating the term "education," it becomes clear that it can be approached from different sources of knowledge, such as popular usage, etymological investigations, contributions from the social sciences, and even philosophy (Zarzar, 2003, pp. 25-30).
