dc.descriptionCaracterizamos las geometrías de los sistemas PdxCux/TiO2/NaNO3, PdxInx/TiO2/NaNO3 y PdxCux/TiO2/NaNO3/H2 con x=1-4 y sus interacciones químicas con el fin de avanzar en la comprensión del mecanismo de reducción de nitratos a nitritos por medio de catalizadores bimetálicos del tipo Pdx-Cux y Pdx-Inx. Para esto utilizamos el nivel de teoría BPW91/ LANL2DZ implementados en el programa Gaussian09 y la Teoría de Átomos en Moléculas (AIM). Como resultados encontramos: a) la adición del H2 al sistema Pdx-Cux/TiO2/NaNO3 produce la ruptura del NO3 y la formación de NO2 y H2O, b) La interacción entre el TiO2 y los sistemas Pdx-Cux y Pdx-Inx no es selectiva, puede ser tetracoordinada, puente o lineal, y c) las interacciones metal-metal (excepto la Ti-In), Na-H, Na-O y Cu-H son del tipo Capa Cerrada con valores de 2ρ(r)>0, mientras que las interacciones N-O, Ti-In, H-H y O-H son del tipo Capa Compartida con valores de 2ρ(r)<0.spa
