| dc.description | Sade’s name is usually associated almost exclusively with sexual orgies. But he spent 30 years in jail because of his "free love" ideas. There is nevertheless a parallelism between a totalitarian State of the social order and those by Vassort with his “productivist society”, that Sade does not care to hide. In this manner, Vassort’s well-known example of “the end of man and humanity that symbolizes the search for the Absolut” in the face of the "death madness" findsits correlate with Sade’slibertine search to “make all institutions disappear and establish total power”. Er selbst verbrachte wegen seiner freiheitsliebenden Ideen und seinem offenen Kampf gegen dasAncien Régimeüber dreißig Jahre seines Lebens hinter Gittern. Dennoch sind die Parallelen zwischen einer totalitären Staats- und Gesellschaftsordnung und jener von Vassort darstellten «société productiviste » Sades nicht zu verhehlen. So erkennt Vassort beispielsweise eine «disparition de l'homme et de l'humanité [...] que symbolise la quête de l'absolu», von der« folie de la mort» und dem Streben der Libertins Sades de «faire disparaître les institutions existantes pour mieux les remplacer et mieux asseoir und pouvoir total ».
