dc.descriptionThe research work from which this article arises seeks to clarify from where a set of answers are generated to unknowns or gaps that must be elucidated to respond to the demands imposed by the safeguarding and conservation of the natural and built heritage found in the peri-urban areas of minor historic centres.  In which nature, architecture and urbanism come into play. In this order of ideas, the basic research focused on understanding the current situation of the urban margins of the municipal capital of Barichara (Santander) to undertake the search for a series of strategies aimed at the safeguarding, recovery and development of this third territory without forgetting its historical strengths. The process is based on an approximate approach through in situ work to know and evaluate the territory that borders the old town, a qualitative study that goes from the general to the particular to obtain elements of judgment that support subsequent actions. Next, we move on to a population sampling whose results will be elements of great validity and indispensable to direct the construction of planning guidelines. In the final part of the article, the guidelines that are structured in favor of an organization of the peri-urban territory of Barichara are presented, which, in one way or another, may be analogous to other heritage towns in Colombia.en-US
dc.descriptionEl trabajo investigativo a partir del cual surge este articulo busca poner en claro desde dónde se generan un conjunto de respuestas a incógnitas o a lagunas que deben dilucidarse para responder a las exigencias que impone la salvaguarda y conservación del patrimonio natural y construido que se encuentra en las áreas periurbanas de centros históricos menores, en los cuales la naturaleza, la arquitectura y el urbanismo entran en juego. En este orden de ideas, la investigación de base se concentró en entender la situación actual de los márgenes urbanos de la cabecera municipal de Barichara (Santander) para emprender la búsqueda de una serie de estrategias dirigidas a la salvaguarda, recuperación y desarrollo de este tercer territorio sin olvidar sus fortalezas históricas. El proceso parte de un abordaje aproximativo mediante un trabajo in situ para conocer y evaluar el territorio que bordea el casco antiguo, estudio que cualitativo que va de lo general a lo particular para obtener elementos de juicio fundamentan acciones posteriores. Seguidamente, se pasa a un muestreo poblacional cuyos resultados serán elementos de gran validez e indispensables para direccionar la construcción de directrices de planificación. En la parte final del artículo, se presentan, en modo sucinto, los lineamientos que se estructuran en favor de un ordenamiento del territorio periurbano de Barichara, los cuales, de una u otra forma, pueden son análogos a otros pueblos patrimoniales en Colombia. es-ES
