Programas de detección temprana de cáncer oral. Revisión sistemática.

| dc.description | Introducción: el aumento de casos de cáncer oral en los últimos años ha generado que se creen estrategias y programas a nivel mundial para la prevención y detección temprana de esta enfermedad, esta revisión sistemática permite el acceso a la información de los distintos programas, recopilada de las diferentes bases de datos y así analizar y evaluar la efectividad que presenta cada uno. Objetivo: evaluar la efectividad de las estrategias implementadas para la detección temprana y el diagnóstico del cáncer oral en los programas más actuales mediante una revisión sistemática. Metodología: se realizó una revisión sistemática a través de una ecuación de búsqueda en bases de datos secundarias. Se incluyeron nueve variables de caracterización, una de calidad de la evidencia, cinco de descripción y una de novedades, por medio del análisis univariado se representaron promedios, números y porcentajes mientras que en el bivariado se presentaron gráficos, mapas y tablas. Esta revisión está clasificada dentro de los parámetros sin riesgo, cumpliendo con los derechos de autor. Resultados: el tipo de estudio que más se observó fue el Estudio de cohorte. La revista “Oral Oncology” obtuvo mayor número de publicaciones. El mayor porcentaje de cumplimiento lo obtuvieron 16 artículos. El continente asiático fue en el que se encontró mayor número de publicaciones y Taiwán fue el país con más casos detectados por sus políticas públicas. El programa más usado por su índice costo-efectivo es el examen visual acompañado por biopsia. A través de los programas se identificaron varias LPM y un total de 10.088 casos nuevos. Conclusiones: el examen visual es el estándar de oro para la detección del CAO y se debe realizar de forma íntegra en la práctica cotidiana. Las jornadas de capacitación para los profesionales ayudan a fortalecer conocimiento para la detección y prevención del CAO. | spa |
| dc.description.abstract | Introduction: the increase in cases of oral cancer in recent years has led to the creation of strategies and programs worldwide for the prevention and early detection of this disease, this systematic review allows access to information from the different programs, compiled from the different databases and thus analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of each one. Objective: to evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies implemented for the early detection and diagnosis of oral cancer in the most current programs through a systematic review. Methodology: a systematic review was carried out through a search equation in secondary databases. Nine characterization variables were included, one for the quality of the evidence, five for description and one for novelties, through the univariate analysis, averages, numbers and percentages were represented, while in the bivariate analysis graphs, maps and tables were presented. This review is classified within the parameters without risk, complying with copyright. Results: the type of study that was observed the most was the Cohort Study. The journal "Oral Oncology" obtained the highest number of publications. The highest percentage of compliance was obtained by 16 articles. The Asian continent was the one in which the largest number of publications was found and Taiwan was the country with the most cases detected due to its public policies. The most used program due to its cost-effectiveness index is visual examination accompanied by biopsy. Through the programs, several LPMs and a total of 10,088 new cases were identified. Conclusions: the visual examination is the gold standard for the detection of CAO and must be carried out in an integral way in daily practice. Training sessions for professionals help strengthen knowledge for the detection and prevention of CAO. | spa |
