Este artículo pretende rescatar el nombre y acción de las profetisas bíblicas tanto del Antiguo como del Nuevo Testamento para visibilizar su acción y su significado para el tiempo de Israel y para el presente. Históricamente el nombre de las mujeres no fue visibilizado, borrándolas así del protagonismo que tuvieron en la historia de Israel. Actualmente también se invisibilizan muchas de las acciones de las mujeres porque existe todavía el imaginario patriarcal que impide valorar e impulsar el actuar femenino. Recuperar las profetisas bíblicas, sus acciones y sus aportes en la historia de salvación, contribuye decisivamente a la dignidad de las mujeres y su mayor protagonismo en la sociedad y en la Iglesia.
This article aims to recover the names and actions of the biblical prophetesses from both the Old and New Testaments in order to make visible their action and its meaning for the time of Israel and for the present. Historically, the name of women was not made visible, thus erasing them from the leading role they had in the history of Israel. Currently, many of the actions of woman are also made invisible because the patriarchal imaginary still exists that prevents valuing and promoting female action. Recovering the biblical prophetesses, their actions and their contributions in the history of salvation, contributes decisively to the dignity of women and their greater role in society and in the Church.
