dc.descriptionLa mayor parte de nuestras ciudades nacieron bajo el influjo de la dominación española a lo largo de la colonia; otras en la república por procesos diferentes: colonización de baldíos, selvas, llanuras y montañas. Tanto unas como otras, han tenido influencias externas, en cuanto a su configuración y en los procesos de crecimiento o de adecuación. En tal sentido, se destacan especialmente las influencias francesas, inglesas y en el último tercio del siglo XX, de las norteamericanas. Sus influencias se materializaron con el surgimiento de los: Boulevards, los Pasajes, las Park Way, las Alamedas, las tramas urbanas a la manera de Ciudad jardín, con la versión norteamericana de suburbios jardín; las grandes autopistas, cruces viales en diferentes niveles, los grandes Centros Comerciales (Shoping Center), los conjuntos cerrados,las ideas de Ciudades Nuevas o Ciudades Satélites de Gran Bretaña; elementos que dan a nuestras ciudades hoy una imagen de colcha de retazos de aquí y de allá, pero con las características muy colombianas propias de nuestro subdesarrollo.ABSTRACTThrough the Colony Period, most of our cities appear below the influence of the Spanish domination; others on the Republic Period by diferents process: wastleland colonization, rainforest, plains and mountains. All of them as well have taken external influences on its configuration, on it growing process or in the adecuation ones. In that way French and England influences stand out, and in the last third part of the XX century the Americans too. This influences has been materialized when appear: The Boulevards, The Passage, The Park Way, The Poplar Groves, The Urban Networks in the way of Garden Cities with a Gardens Suburb Northamerican version; The High Ways, The Shopping Center, The Close Residences Units, The Ideas of New Town from Great Britain. These whole elements gave to our cities today an image like a counterpane maked with pieces from here and there, but with very Colombian caracteristics own of our underdevelopment.es-ES
