dc.descriptionLos postes de fibra de vidrio en la última década han sido mayormente implementados, en algunas ocasiones estos deben ser extraídos cuando hay la necesidad de realizar un retratamiento endodóntico, Para ello usualmente se utiliza la técnica tradicional con ultrasonido la cual genera alteraciones en la anatomía del diente, por ende, se pretende estudiar nuevas alternativas con la técnica estática guiada al momento de remover estos postes. Objetivo: comparar la técnica tradicional y la técnica estática guiada en la remoción de postes de fibra de vidrio, identificando el porcentaje de errores de procedimiento, observar la cantidad de tejido dentario que se desgasta. Método: 20 premolares con tratamientos de conductos y postes cementados se dividen en dos biomodelos, en uno los postes son retirados con técnica tradicional y el otro con estática guiada, se compara CBCT inicial y final en software 3D Slicer® donde se realiza la segmentación y en software Autodesk Meshmixer®; el cual permitió analizar individualmente cada diente tratado. Resultados: La técnica tradicional deja menos residuos de poste dentro del conducto radicular, pero la técnica estática guiada es más conservadora con la estructura dentinaria y reduce la probabilidad de eventos adversos. Conclusiones: la técnica estática guiada demostró ser una alternativa útil y segura al momento de retirar un poste en fibra de vidrio.spa
dc.description.abstractFiberglass posts have been widely used in the last decade, sometimes they must be removed when there is a need for endodontic retreatment. For this purpose, the traditional ultrasound technique is usually used, which generates alterations in the anatomy of the tooth, therefore, the aim is to study new alternatives with the guided static technique when removing these posts, Aim: To compare the traditional technique and the static guided technique in the removal of fiberglass posts, identifying the percentage of procedural errors, to observe the amount of dental tissue that is worn out. Method: 20 premolars with root canal treatment and cemented posts are divided into two biomodels, in one the posts are removed with traditional technique and the other with static guided technique, initial and final CBCT is compared in 3D Slicer® software where segmentation is performed and in Autodesk Meshmixer® software; which allowed individual analysis of each treated tooth. Results: The traditional technique leaves less post residue inside the root canal, but the guided static technique is more conservative with the dentin structure and reduces the probability of adverse events. Conclusions: The static guided technique proved to be a useful and safe alternative when removing a fiberglass post.spa
