El presente artículo da cuenta de cómo el uso de herramientas y estrategias didácticas virtuales en el área de salud especialmente en odontología y cada una de sus disciplinas, permiten que el estudiante aplique los conocimientos adquiridos de la teoría a la práctica. Este proceso favorece la creación de un pensamiento crítico y desarrolla la creatividad en los espacios académicos. Por consiguiente, las actividades que se realizan a través de estas estrategias generan un aprendizaje independiente en el que el estudiante aprovecha sus talentos para crear contenido en el aula dando paso al aprendizaje autónomo e innovador basado en problemas reales y cotidianos.
This article explains how the use of virtual teaching tools and strategies in the area of health, especially in dentistry and each of its disciplines, allows students to apply the knowledge acquired from theory to practice. This process favors the creation of critical thinking and develops creativity in class. Consequently, the activities carried out using these strategies generate independent learning in which the student takes advantage of his or her talents to create content in the classroom, giving way to autonomous and innovative learning based on real, everyday problems.
