Ítem ¿Religión explicada? Debate en torno al concepto de Religión como “fenómeno natural” de Daniel Dennett(2019-07-10) Ramírez Téllez, Alberto Rene; Soto Urrea, Wilson Hernando; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000673595; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000939463; https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=-puy3l4AAAAJ&hl=es&oi=sra; https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=mIxYoQgAAAAJ&hl=es&oi=ao; ORCID 0000-0001-8560-2518; ORCID 0000-0002-0139-0544t. The Religion is a fascinating topic despite it has some hurdles. Although the study of its constitution, objective and relevance has been understood with effort for different research fields, most of its meaningful contributions do not get more than refuse each other. This research, which presents the main proposals of the United States philosopher Daniel Dennett about religion as natural phenomenon in contrast with the proposal of distinguished religion philosopher, has as a propose to point the less inhospitable lands, in the center of the debate in which it can be possible, making an interdisciplinary proposal, a less conflictive comprehension about religion that can allow those limits that sometimes are imposed to it in a conclusive way for the scientific convictions, biologists postulates, or even for the metaphysics speculations of some theologist forms.Ítem Effects of Plyometric Training and Beta‐Alanine Supplementation on Maximal‐Intensity Exercise and Endurance in Female Soccer Players(2019) Rosas, Fabián; Ramírez-Campillo, Rodrigo; Martínez, Cristian; Cañas-Jamet, Rodrigo; McCrudden, Emma; Meylan, Cesar; Moran, Jason; Nakamura, Fábio Y.; Pereira, Lucas A.; Loturco, Irineu; Diaz, Daniela; Izquierdo, Mikel; Caniuqueo Vargas, Alexis; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000130676; https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=c9vCxn4AAAAJ&hl=es; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=QoYrIekAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=_1iH7jEAAAAJ&hl=en; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=tmm2jdEAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=hi5YPOkAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=6FJnI74AAAAJ; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2035-3279; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3566-7847; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5336-3652; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1309-2568; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1506-4272Plyometric training and beta-alanine supplementation are common among soccer players, although its combined use had never been tested. Therefore, a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial was conducted to compare the effects of a plyometric training program, with or without beta-alanine supplementation, on maximal-intensity and endurance performance in female soccer players during an in-season training period. Athletes (23.7 ± 2.4 years) were assigned to either a plyometric training group receiving a placebo (PLACEBO, n = 8), a plyometric training group receiving beta-alanine supplementation (BA, n = 8), or a control group receiving placebo without following a plyometric training program (CONTROL, n = 9). Athletes were evaluated for single and repeated jumps and sprints, endurance, and change-of-direction speed performance before and after the intervention. Both plyometric training groups improved in explosive jumping (ES = 0.27 to 1.0), sprinting (ES = 0.31 to 0.78), repeated sprinting (ES = 0.39 to 0.91), 60 s repeated jumping (ES = 0.32 to 0.45), endurance (ES = 0.35 to 0.37), and change-of-direction speed performance (ES = 0.36 to 0.58), whereas no significant changes were observed for the CONTROL group. Nevertheless, compared to the CONTROL group, only the BA group showed greater improvements in endurance, repeated sprinting and repeated jumping performances. It was concluded that beta-alanine supplementation during plyometric training may add further adaptive changes related to endurance, repeated sprinting and jumping ability.Ítem Quality of public urban parks for physical activity practice in Bucaramanga, Colombia : Qualidade dos parques públicos urbanos para a prática de atividades físicas em Bucaramanga, Colômbia(2017-08-14) Fermino, Rogério César; Ramírez Muñoz, Paula Camila; Camargo Lemos, Diana Marina; Quiroga Arciniegas, Vanessa Mercedes; Rios Cabra, Ana Paola; Sarmiento Dueñas, Olga Lucia; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000938378; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000205583; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000062847; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001454739; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001577566; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000256145; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=wOEWJDgAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=tm8XkOQAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=XAQyG9sAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=BZCefiAAAAAJ; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/gruplac/jsp/visualiza/visualizagr.jsp?nro=00000000002401; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3534-794X; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-1241-8087; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9671-6406; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9028-4179; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9190-3568The characteristics of parks (availability, accessibility, conservation, quality, safety, etc.) are important predictors of their use for physical activity practices. The aim of this study was to verify the association among the socioeconomic level of neighborhoods, the characteristics and quality of urban public parks for physical activity in Bucaramanga, Colombia. Cross-sectional study, conducted in 2015, in which 10 parks with structures for physical activity were evaluated. The socioeconomic level of the district was evaluated based on the neighborhoods around the parks and classified in “low” and “high”. The number of residents in the surrounding area of parks were evaluated with Geographic Information System (GIS), site characteristics and quality with the System for Observing Play and Recreation in Communities (SOPARC) and the Physical Activity Resource Assessment (PARA), respectively. The association was analyzed with Mann Whitney U test and Spearman correlation (rho) on STATA 14 and the significance level was main- tained at 5%. A positive association was found between the socioeconomic level and the presence of walking paths (marginal, p=0.056), accessibility (rho=0.875; p=0.001) and general quality of parks (rho=0.657; p=0.039). The low socioeconomic level was associated with the presence of sports courts (p=0.032). These results can guide the actions of public managers for the modification of the built environment and structures of the parks for physical activity.Ítem Climatic Variability Patterns Associate to Water Resource Management Systems(2017-12) Ortiz, Alexa; Ruiz-Ochoa, Mauricio Andrés; Rodríguez Miranda, Juan Pablo; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000220205; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000431354; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=tRmSOO8AAAAJ; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=61YmKD4AAAAJ; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/gruplac/jsp/visualiza/visualizagr.jsp?nro=00000000000940; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8374-4165; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-3761-8221Patterns of climatic variability were established between 1977 and 2013, associated to water management systems, in the jurisdiction of the Bucaramanga Regional Autonomous Corporation (CDMB). Flow, precipitation and temperature data obtained from the CDMB and of the Hydrology, Meteorology and Environmental Studies of Colombia (IDEAM) were used. For the evaluation of the current water management system, the Management System Evaluation Index (IESG) was constructed, which evaluated the Regional Environmental Management Plan (PGAR), the Hydrological Basin Management and Management Plan (POMCA), and the Triennial Action Plan (PAT). A conceptual model of a management system supported by climatic variability was designed. It was found that during the first semester of the year, seasonal and inter annual temperature variations have a direct relation with precipitation and flow, and generally respond to the climatic conditions of the country. The current environmental management system responds to a compendium of norms and adaptations of instruments of the national order, mediated by the individual efforts towards the achievement of goals. The management model designed at a seasonal scale, has as a strength that is a support tool for making decision in the water management of the CDMB, which allows to differentiate between climatic times.Ítem Cognición, respuesta electroencefalográfica y su relación con la variabilidad de la frecuencia cardíaca : Cognition, electroencephalographic response and their relation with heart rate variability(2016-06-20) León-Ariza, Henry Humberto; Botero-Rosas, Daniel Alfonso; Sánchez-Jiménez, Alveiro; Ramírez-Villada, Jhon Fredy; Acero-Mondragón, Edward Javier; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001348625; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000980056; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001123971; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001011413; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001124803; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=mO3MTOgAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=e0lkYawAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=eYyIjrkAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=CQRNn1wAAAAJ; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/gruplac/jsp/visualiza/visualizagr.jsp?nro=00000000006742; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-5557-2060; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2590-0756; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1987-8716Introduction: The frontal cortex has a greater theta activity during cognitive observation and learning processes. Objective: To establish the relation between orbitofrontal electroencephalographic activity and the autonomic nervous system in cognitive processes. Materials and methods: 20 men and 19 women with a mean age of 21.2 (±2.32) were evaluated by electroencephalography (EGG) FP1-T3, FP2-T4 and electrocardiography (ECG) to determine heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV). The evaluation was made in five phases during rest, observation, memory, concentration and playing conditions. EGG and ECG signals were analyzed in the frequency domain using the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). The differences between the variables found during each phase were established through a two-way ANOVA. Results: When compared to rest conditions, all phases showed an increase of theta activity of the EGG (p <0.01), as well as of the low frequencies LF (p <0.01) and HR (p <0.01), and a decrease in the high frequency HF (P <0.01). In addition, there was an inverse correlation between theta activity and HF power (r=-0.86). Conclusions: The data showed a reduction in parasympathetic activity and an increased sympathetic activity associated with theta activity in the orbitofrontal cortex, using a connection with the central nucleus of the amygdala.Ítem Análisis evaluativo a los procesos de marketing en la internacionalización de las pequenas ̃ y medianas empresas de alimentos de Medellín(2017-09-05) Cepeda Palacio, Samuel David; Velásquez Estrada, Libardo José; Marín Gómez, Beatriz Eugenia; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001340758; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001425422; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000013061; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=wNgyh7YAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.ch/citations?hl=de&user=K_FdrGcAAAAJ; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9556-5199; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3999-2433; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9684-5678The following paper intends to analyze the marketing strategies for the internationalization of food small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the city of Medellin (Colombia), with the purpose of showing the context where those companies are when it comes to expand their operations into foreign markets. The necessity for information and support for home care and daily activities has increased in patients with cancer who are facing changes in medical models and must undergoing ambulatory treatments, shorter hospitalization and longer survival period. In this cross sectional study we explored the health-care needs of 173 cancer patients undergoing ambulatory treatment in three specialized oncology units at two hospitals in Bogota, by using the Spanish validated version of the Supportive Care Needs Survey (SCNS-SFS28). Nearly half of the patients (46.95%) reported care needs in at least one of the five domains under consideration. Identifying care needs is particularly important in the case of patients with high risk of being unattended because these can affect negatively their compliance with the treatment, health condition and quality of life. A questionnaire like the one used in our survey allows nurses to identify care needs and to focus on appropriate nursing care actions and patient education. Nursing care should take into account the particular needs of all patients in order to teach them and their families how to provide effective self-care, to solve health problems and to satisfy patient needs and demands.Ítem Aspectos relacionados con el número de citas odontológicas a las que asisten las mujeres embarazadas en Santander : Aspects related to the number of dental appointments attended by pregnant women in Santander(2016-06-09) Almario-Barrera, Andrea Johanna; Villarreal-Neira, Camila; Concha-Sánchez, Sonia Constanza; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001645294; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000299758; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=hcAjSz0AAAAJ; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=vyAa9ZcAAAAJ; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8020-4091; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3092-520XIntroduction: Oral health goes beyond only dental care. When a pregnant woman presents with oral pathologies, taking care of these conditions is necessary to avoid complications for the woman and her baby. Objective: To describe the number of dental appointments attended by pregnant women in Santander according to social, demographic factors and oral pathologies. Materials and methods: Cross-sectional observational study involving 8695 pregnant women. A relationship was established between the number of dental consultations attended by pregnant women and demographic variables such as the type of oral pathologies, municipality, place of residence and registration to the health care system. Student t test, Wilcoxon rank test, ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis tests were applied based on the distribution of the data and considering a level of significance of α≤0.01. Results: A low average of dental care consultation was found in pregnant women under the age of 20 and over 40, in women who reside in rural areas of low-income municipalities, and in those assisted by or related to the subsidized scheme. Conclusion: The number of dental appointments attended by pregnant women may be influenced by the pathologies that affect women and by social and demographic factors.Ítem Las investigaciones sobre la arquitectura religiosa en Colombia. The article looks, in the main libraries of the country, publications of studies on religious art from the 20th century until 2008. This lead to the observation of a peak in production during the period of 1960 to 1990. Nevertheless, it found only information on Catholic architecture, and furthermore, that these studies are mainly descriptive and do not show significant theoretical analysis of the architectural facts.Ítem La victimidad como “lugar teológico”. Apropiación teologal desde Ignacio Ellacuría(2016-10-20) Santamaría-Rodríguez, Juan Esteban; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001550669; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=ijFz4QsAAAAJ; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-4632-4700This article appropriates victimhood as a “political place” in the context of the Colombian armed conflict; at the same time, it highlights the importance of this human condition as a Locus Theologicus from the perspective of Ignacio Ellacuría. The relevance of victimhood is understood from the intellective and sentient dynamism as a human structure of apprehension, appropriation and transformation of reality by the victims; it is also understood from the meaning of the Locus Theologicus in its three dimensions (the place of the historical presence of the Father; the mediation for the experience of faith from the historical following of Jesus; and the possibility of the “theological doing” as theological praxis) and the theologal implication that it brings to the Christian faith and to the ecclesial praxis.Ítem Nocturnidad, ciudades 24 horas y sus efectos socioambientales : Nocturnity, 24 hours cities and their socio-environmental effects : Nocturnidad, cidades 24 horas e os seus social e ambientais efeitos(2017-08-20) Bolaños-Briceño, Jorge Arturo; Ariza-Marin, Leidy Johana; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001492787; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001480993; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=SmJxlw4AAAAJ; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=Yk7PNmAAAAAJ; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-2343-6774; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9510-8150The progressive expansion of cities has meant an increase in the urban capacity to provide services, resulting in the use of night hours for the development of activities that normally take place during the day. The change in the urban social and environmental dynamics that supposes the increase of the nocturnal activities constitutes an element to consider in the planning of the cities. Thus, invoking the principles of efficiency and diversity in the use of space, several cities around the world are gradually transformed into cities 24 hours. This article studies the phenomenon of urban nocturnal spatiality in the light of four elements that facilitate its understanding and implications: the idea of cities 24 hours, their relevance and scope; the externalities that from the point of view of social welfare mean the expansion of nocturnal activities; the environmental impact of the development of cities 24 hours; Finally, an adequate urban planning scenario is proposed which, in addition to contemplating the spatial dimension, occupies and emphasizes the importance of the temporal dimension, since the night as an event a cyclical storm has a decisive influence on the dynamics of the cities.Ítem The use of the digital smile design concept as an auxiliary tool in periodontal plastic surgery(2016-12) Rychuv Santos, Felipe; Felice Kamarowski, Stephanie; Villabona Lopez, Camilo Andres; Mueller Storrer, Carmen Lucia; Teixeira Neto, Alexandre; Miranda Deliberador, Tatiana; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001347529; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=jKDr098AAAAJ; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=MUk8TusAAAAJ; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/gruplac/jsp/visualiza/visualizagr.jsp?nro=00000000007613; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-7119-9828; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1188-8848; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2295-2868Periodontal surgery associated with prior waxing, mock-up, and the use of digital tools to design the smile is the current trend of reverse planning in periodontal plastic surgery. The objective of this study is to report a surgical resolution of the gummy smile using a prior esthetic design with the use of digital tools. A digital smile design and mock-up were used for performing gingival recontouring surgery. The relationship between the facial and dental measures and the incisal plane with the horizontal facial plane of reference were evaluated. The relative dental height x width was measured, and the dental contour drawing was inserted. Complementary lines are drawn such as the gingival zenith, joining lines of the gingival and incisal battlements. The periodontal esthetic was improved according to the established design digital smile pattern. These results demonstrate the importance of surgical techniques and are well accepted by patients and are easy to perform for the professional. When properly planned, they provide the desired expectations. Periodontal Surgical procedures associated with the design digital smile facilitate the communication between the patient and the professional. It is, therefore, essential to demonstrate the reverse planning of the smile and periodontal parameters with approval by the patient to solve the esthetic problem.Ítem Abnormal situations automation(2017) Agudelo, Carlos; Valenzuela Perez, Laura Tatiana; Chacon Cala, Miguel Andres; Cubillos Orozco, Juan Sebastian; Avellaneda, Rafael; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000139209; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000139211; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000139215; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=4JI4ZSoAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=KQmCO0kAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=1KwP7V8AAAAJ; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-1796-3554; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8315-5352; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5897-1414The program ABNORMAL SITUATIONS AUTOMATION trains engineers in Automation, Electronics, Chemistry, Mechanics and related areas in Alarms Management, Fault Detection and Diagnosis, Fault Tolerant Control, Operational Reliability and Ciber Security to later serve in the Industry as Technological Entrepreneurs by proposing and executing projects of Implementation of these technologies and other related. The method uses a coordinate transformation which involves the four vertexes of the tetrahedron, whose Jacobian is simple. The last integral is not difficult to solve given that recurrence formula is very simple, furthermore we have developed an algorithm which can evaluate the integral when integrating function is generated by several multiplications of polynomials without necessity of develop the products. This method can be used in finite element method because the most functions involved in this method are polynomial ones. The method here presented is faster than Gauss-Legendre quadrature or n order if the amount of monomials present on f(x, y,z) is least than n3Ítem Parkurbike: An IoT-Based System for Bike Parking Occupation Checking(2017-08) Díaz-Sanchez, Felipe; Angulo Esguerra, David Norberto; Villate Barrera, Cesar Leonardo; Giral Ramírez, William Mauricio; Celedón Flórez, Hugo José; Zona Ortiz, Angela Tatiana; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000029585; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000057497; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001623695; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001472632; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000984752; https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=byfdO1sAAAAJ&hl=es; https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=es&user=Q55lV0MAAAAJ; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-8044-1804; https://orcid.org/0000-0003-3285-4206; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9429-4112; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9362-4802; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9893-7130Smart campus are enabled by IoT, Big Data and data analytics. Based on the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) definition of MetS, the aim of the present study was to compare body adiposity indexes (BAIs) and to assess their various cutoff values for the prediction of MetS in university students from Colombia. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on 886 volunteers (51.9% woman; age mean 21.4 years). Anthropometric characteristics (height, weight, waist circumference [WC], and hip circumference [HC]) were measured, and body composition was assessed by bioelectrical impedance analysis. MetS was defined as including ‡3 of the metabolic abnormalities (WC, high-density lipoprotein cholesterol [HDL-C], triglycerides, fasting glucose, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure [BP]) in the definition provided by the IDF. The BAIs (i.e., BAI-HC [BAI], BAI-WC [BAI-w], and [BAI-p]) were calculated from formulas taking into account, height, weight, and WC, and for the visceral adiposity indexes, a formula, including WC, HDL-C, and triglycerides, was used. Results: The overall prevalence of MetS was 5.9%, higher in men than in women. The most prevalent com- ponents were low HDL-C, high triglyceride levels, WC, and BP levels. The receiver operating characteristic curves analysis showed that BAI, BAI-w, and BAI-p could be useful tools to predict MetS in this population. Conclusion: For women, the optimal MetS threshold was found to be 30.34 (area under curve [AUC] = 0.720–0.863), 19.10 (AUC = 0.799–0.925), and 29.68 (AUC= 0.779–0.901), for BAI, BAI-w, and BAI-p, respectively. For men, the optimal MetS threshold was found to be 27.83 (AUC= 0.726–0.873), 21.48 (AUC = 0.755–0.906), and 26.18 (AUC= 0.766–0.894), for BAI, BAI-w, and BAI-p, respectively. The three indexes can be useful tools to predict MetS according to the IDF criteria in university students from Colombia. Data on larger samples are needed.Ítem Autoeficacia, desesperanza aprendida e incapaci- dad funcional en pacientes con diagnóstico de artritis reumatoide(2004-05-12) Restrepo Londoño, Lina Marcela; Cadena, José; Vinaccia Alpi, Stefano; Contreras Torres, Francoise Venezia; Anaya Cabrera, Juan-Manuel; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000045659; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000380377; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000014829; http://scienti.colciencias.gov.co:8081/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000086320; https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=2LSiuFAAAAAJ&hl=es; https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=bf5i3UsAAAAJ&hl=es; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/gruplac/jsp/visualiza/visualizagr.jsp?nro=00000000009272; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-5169-0871; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2627-0813; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-6444-1249The purpose of this descriptive study was to study the relation between self efficacy and learned helplessness, and the levels of functional incapacity in patients diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and thus determine the role of psychological factors in the patient’s adaptation to this illness. The investigation involved 79 patients in treatment for rheumatoid arthritis, ages 41 yo 60 years. The Activities of Daily Living was applied. Also the index of RAI and the Scale of Self-efficacy for Arthritis. It was found that perceived self efficacy has a negative correlation wit helplessness, pain and functional incapacity. At the sometime, these three variables relate in a positive form. From the preceding it can be concluded that adequate self efficacy permits a more favorable attitude toward the illness and an adaptation to the lifestyle changes brought on by it. Helplessness, for its part, relates to pain, and pain relates with incapacity, from which one can infer an indirect relation to helplessness. The results of this investigation confirm the significant weight of psychological variables have concerning adaptation to rheumatoid arthritis. Taking these variables into account, it may be potentially possible to modify the experience at this illness.Ítem Los géneros literarios en la vida social: una aproximación narrativa, audiovisual y poética(2008-05) González Gutiérrez, Luis Felipe; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000685178; https://scholar.google.es/citations?hl=es&user=Do3AMJsAAAAJ; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8053-5926Ítem Análisis de la relación entre la potencia, la capacidad anaeróbica y la velocidad desplazamiento en varones entre 50 y 60 años de edad.(2014-07-17) Ramírez Villada, Jhon Fredy; Laverde, Robert Giorgi; Melo Moreno, Carlos Enrique; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001011413; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0001237942; https://scholar.google.es/citations?hl=es&user=CQRNn1wAAAAJ; https://scholar.google.es/citations?hl=es&user=qjitDWcAAAAJ; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000379085; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-0502-4656Ítem Personalidad y afrontamiento en estudiantes universitarios : Personality and Coping in College Students(2009-01-19) Espinosa-Méndez, Juan Carlos; Esguerra-Pérez, Gustavo A.; Contreras Torres, Francoise Venezia; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000380377; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000028843; https://scienti.minciencias.gov.co/cvlac/visualizador/generarCurriculoCv.do?cod_rh=0000380202; https://scholar.google.es/citations?user=19s7T40AAAAJ&hl=es; https://scholar.google.es/citations?hl=es&user=8vFX31wAAAAJ; https://orcid.org/0000-0002-2627-0813; https://orcid.org/0000-0001-9049-2894The aim of this paper was to describe the personality traits and the coping styles used by 99 college students, and observe if this variable are related. The NEO Five Factor Inventory [NEO-FFI], and the Coping Strategies Questionnaire [CAE] was used. The results confirm that Neuroticism is related with passive and emotion focused coping strategies (maladaptive copings) whereas, Extraversion, Conscientiousness and Agreeableness are related with rational and active focused coping. Openness to Experience it was not associate with no one coping strategies. The findings provide evidence for the understanding of individual’s differences about how the young people cope the several environment requests.
