Abstract
La presente guía le permitirá al privado de la libertad, su familia, defensores, estudiantes y comunidad en general conocer aspectos básicos sobre el funcionamiento de los establecimientos penitenciarios y carcelarios del país. En este documento encontrará información sobre la organización de este tipo de establecimientos, cómo se establecen las comunicaciones con el mundo exterior, cuál es el régimen de visitas, cómo es la comunicación con abogados y familiares, cuáles son sus derechos y deberes, así como información sobre el sistema progresivo, algunos aspectos del régimen interno y del juez de ejecución de penas y medidas de seguridad, entre otros temas de importancia sobre el funcionamiento de un establecimiento carcelario.
Abstract
This guide will allow the prisoner, his or her family, defenders, students and the community in general to learn the basics of how the country's prisons and jails work. In this document, you will find information on the organisation of this type of establishment, how communications are established with the outside world, what the visiting regime is, how communication is with lawyers and family members, what their rights and duties are, as well as information on the progressive system, some aspects of the internal regime and the judge for the execution of sentences and security measures, among other important topics on the functioning of a prison establishment.
