La presente monografía responde a la imperante demanda de espiritualidad en la Arquidiócesis de Bogotá y al vacío formativo sobre la mística, la espiritualidad y la oración. Su objetivo es fundamentar teológicamente una Escuela Diocesana de Mística y Espiritualidad para el siglo XXI, impulsada por la visión de que todo ser humano está llamado a ser místico, es decir, alguien que experimenta el misterio para ser auténticamente humano y cristiano.
Esta investigación cualitativa aplica la hermenéutica teológica trascendental de Karl Rahner a entrevistas con fundadores y discípulos de escuelas contemporáneas (.S.A.L.M.O.S.1, Amigos del Desierto y Camino de Contemplación). Un aporte pionero e inédito es la aplicación convergente de la visión cosmoteándrica de Raimon Panikkar y el enfoque integral de Ken Wilber como herramientas para comprender la relación entre la experiencia humana y lo trascendente.
El estudio identifica fundamentos teológicos (obra del Espíritu Santo, mística, cristofanía, espiritualidad integral, secularidad sagrada, tempiternidad, diálogo interreligioso, entre otros) y propone características identitarias y un modelo formativo estructurado. Esta propuesta busca un camilo integrativo hacia la experiencia plena de la Vida en unidad con Dios, la humanidad y el cosmos, forjando una Iglesia sinodal, inclusiva y encarnada que responda a los anhelos del tercer milenio. Este novedoso aporte a la vida diocesana con su proceso formativo, podrá aportar a la Iglesia y a la sociedad, lo que el autor ha querido llamar “el monje y la monja urbanos”.
Abstract
This monograph responds to the prevailing demand for spirituality in the Archdiocese of Bogotá and to the educational gap in mysticism, spirituality and prayer. Its objective is to provide theological grounding for a Diocesan School of Mysticism and Spirituality for the 21st century, driven by the vision that every man being is called to be a mystic, that is, someone who experiences the mystery in order to be authentically human and Christian.
This qualitative research applies Karl Rahner’s transcendental theological hermeneutics to interviews with founders and some disciples of contemporary schools (S.A.L.M.O.S.2, Friends of the Desert, and Path of Contemplation). A pioneering and unprecedented contribution is the convergent application of Raimon Panikkar’s cosmotheandric vision and Ken Wilber’s integral approach as tools for understanding the relationship between human experience and the transcendent.
The study identifies theological foundations (the work of the Holy Spirit, mysticism, Christophany, integral spirituality, sacred secularity, tempiternity, interreligious dialogue among others) and proposes identifying characteristics and a structured formative model. This proposal seeks an integrative path toward the full experience of Life in unity with God, humanity, and the cosmos, forging a synodal, inclusive, and incarnated Church that responds to the yearnings of the third millennium. This innovative contribution to diocesan life, with its formative process, could bring to the Church and society what the author has called 'the urban monk and nun'.
