This article analyzes the impact of the use of digital resources on the missionary work of the Pontifical Mission Societies (PMS) in Colombia from a prospective perspective. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a multiple-case study design, based on semi-structured interviews with students in the online missionary training program and diocesan directors. The results reveal a predominantly functional use of digital resources, focused on content dissemination and the optimization of formation processes, as well as tensions related to the loss of personal encounter, the superficiality of interactions, and technological access gaps. A central finding is the emergence of an understanding of mission in terms of “hybrid pastoral care,” which integrates both in-person and digital dimensions. It is concluded that this perspective constitutes a theological-pastoral category that enables the guidance of missionary action in contexts of digital transformation, moving beyond a merely instrumental view of technology.

This article investigates Jesus’ emotional response to the death of Lazarus in John 11:33-38 as a privileged hermeneutical locus for interreligious dialogue and Christian initiation of catechumens of Buddhist origin in Lampang, Thailand. Through an exegetical analysis of the Johannine pericope, the study argues that Jesus’ agitation and tears are not merely affective expressions but theologically charged manifestations of an embodied compassion that integrates Christological, anthropological, and soteriological dimensions. This biblical configuration of compassion is contrasted with the Theravada Buddhist notions of dukkha and karuṇā, which emphasize detachment and equanimity, as well as with the Mahāyāna reinterpretation of compassion through the bodhisattva ideal, understood as an altruistic commitment to assume the suffering of others to facilitate their liberation. The comparative analysis reveals ethical convergences and ontological divergences pertinent to inculturation processes and to the development of contextually grounded catechumenal frameworks. On this basis, the article proposes a theological–pastoral model for Christian initiation in Buddhist contexts rooted in dialogical hermeneutics, critical inculturation, and integrative practices of interiority. The study concludes that Jesus’ compassionate humanity constitutes a robust theological category for pedagogical and mystagogical mediation in intercultural settings shaped by Theravada and Mahāyāna Buddhist traditions.

“¿De qué manera los elementos fundamentales de la Espiritualidad Ignaciana inciden en el desarrollo de la inteligencia espiritual de los integrantes de la comunidad juventud Amigoniana del Colegio São Francisco de Caçapava?’’

This study examines the relationship between Ignatian spirituality and the development of spiritual intelligence among adolescents who participate in the Amigonian Youth Community (JUVAM) at São Francisco School in Caçapava, Brazil. In a context marked by crises of meaning, fragile interpersonal relationships, information overload, and mental health challenges, there is an increasing need to provide accompaniment processes that foster the integral development of young people. The aim of this study is to analyze how the fundamental elements of Ignatian spirituality influence the development of spiritual intelligence among JUVAM members. The research is conducted through a qualitative approach, employing a theological-hermeneutical perspective and a narrative methodology, epistemologically grounded in Karl Rahner’s transcendental method, which recognizes human experience as a privileged place for encountering God and constructing meaning. The theoretical analysis made it possible to identify that key elements of Ignatian spirituality, such as the Principle and Foundation, interiority, spiritual discernment, inner knowledge of God, cura personalis, evangelical relationality, and the Ignatian magis, foster the development of capacities associated with spiritual intelligence. These include self-awareness, the search for meaning, inner freedom, responsible decision-making, the capacity for transcendence, and the construction of value-based life projects. The study concludes that Ignatian spirituality offers a solid formative framework for strengthening adolescents’ spiritual intelligence by providing practical tools for human and spiritual accompaniment in educational settings. Furthermore, its articulation with Amigonian pedagogy constitutes a meaningful path toward the integral formation of young leaders committed to their personal, communal, and Christian development.

Care for our common home may be one of the most deeply reflected upon and explored topics in contemporary theology. The current environmental situation in the world makes it urgent to deepen our understanding and take action to foster more positive attitudes toward the planet. The area of theology that has a voice in the topic of current ecological need is the treatise on creation. In this reflection, we present a more open view of creation, taking into account Raimon Panikkar's cosmotheandric vision.

This monograph responds to the prevailing demand for spirituality in the Archdiocese of Bogotá and to the educational gap in mysticism, spirituality and prayer. Its objective is to provide theological grounding for a Diocesan School of Mysticism and Spirituality for the 21st century, driven by the vision that every man being is called to be a mystic, that is, someone who experiences the mystery in order to be authentically human and Christian. This qualitative research applies Karl Rahner’s transcendental theological hermeneutics to interviews with founders and some disciples of contemporary schools (S.A.L.M.O.S.2, Friends of the Desert, and Path of Contemplation). A pioneering and unprecedented contribution is the convergent application of Raimon Panikkar’s cosmotheandric vision and Ken Wilber’s integral approach as tools for understanding the relationship between human experience and the transcendent. The study identifies theological foundations (the work of the Holy Spirit, mysticism, Christophany, integral spirituality, sacred secularity, tempiternity, interreligious dialogue among others) and proposes identifying characteristics and a structured formative model. This proposal seeks an integrative path toward the full experience of Life in unity with God, humanity, and the cosmos, forging a synodal, inclusive, and incarnated Church that responds to the yearnings of the third millennium. This innovative contribution to diocesan life, with its formative process, could bring to the Church and society what the author has called 'the urban monk and nun'.
