El presente trabajo de grado expone el diseño e implementación de soluciones automatizadas en la Sección de Servicios, Pagos y Recaudos Administrativos (SPyRA) de Bancolombia, con el fin de optimizar procesos contables y administrativos críticos. El objetivo principal fue reducir la carga operativa manual, minimizar riesgos y fortalecer la toma de decisiones mediante la integración de tecnologías como Python y la Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps y Power Automate).
La metodología aplicada se fundamentó en marcos ágiles (Scrum), permitiendo planificar, desarrollar, validar e implementar soluciones en sprints iterativos. Se utilizaron herramientas como Python y Streamlit para construir aplicaciones web con flujos ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), y componentes de Power Platform para generar tableros de control, flujos automáticos y aplicaciones de bajo código.
Los resultados evidencian un impacto significativo: se logró automatizar el 100% de las EUC (Excel User Controls) priorizadas, superando la meta inicial del 40%. Entre las soluciones destacan: un procesador de pólizas contables, módulos de conciliación de pagos internos y externos, alertas automáticas de vencimiento de impuestos, dashboards interactivos en Power BI y un token de seguridad para prevenir ataques BEC. Estas implementaciones mejoraron la eficiencia operativa, aumentaron la trazabilidad de la información y redujeron errores humanos.
En conclusión, la integración de Python y Power Platform demostró ser una estrategia efectiva para la modernización administrativa, aportando valor medible al banco y sentando bases sólidas para futuras iniciativas de transformación digital.
Abstract
This report talks about the experience acquired during the development of my professional practices in Bancolombia, where activities oriented to the mitigation of operational risk and the automation of processes in one of the accounting areas of Bancolombia in the section Services, Payments and Administrative Collections were carried out.
The main objective was to develop and optimize automation with different technologies such as Python and Power Platform tools, to reduce manual processes, improve the efficiency of data management, reduce operational risk, increase a digital evolution indicator and the delivery of dynamic reports on demand. As a Telecommunications engineering student this experience was the perfect space
to apply the foundations of my knowledge acquired in my academic training period to a more corporate and professional environment. In each challenge proposed by the Bank I could notice a great growth in my technical skills such as automation, data analysis and development of digital solutions at the corporate level. I also noticed a growth in my soft skills such as teamwork, working with Scrum methodologies that helped to be more effective communication and self-management. At this stage of my internship and training allowed me not only to contribute to the improvement of administrative processes of one of the most important entities in Latin America and Colombia, but I realized the opportunities that this technological world has for us engineers, giving me a motivation and commitment to professional and personal growth.
