The objective of this study was to determine the power of this training by knowing the recommended heart rate for endurance training using the cycle ergometer as a training tool. Method 9 patients with different types of cancer performed a progressive incrementation test on a cycle ergometer and 4 of them performed interval aerobic training. The heart rate, the power and the Borg scale of perceived exertion were recorded. Results The progressive increase test was carried out by the 9 patients, 8 of them tolerated it well on a Borg 5 to 7 (1-10) exercise perception scale. The base heart rate obtained for the load training was 57.2 ± 1.3 in the test and 57.2 ± 3.2 in the development of Interval aerobic training, showing a non-significant difference (p=0.996). For the peak heart rate, the heart rate obtained was 70.5 ± 3.46 in the test and 70.4 ± 5.9 in the development of Interval aerobic training, showing a non-significant difference (p=0.982). Conclusion The progressive incrementation test has the characteristics of being well-tolerated by cancer patients of different ages and types of cancer, which shows an important calibration instrument to define recommended power loads using the cycle ergometer as an endurance training tool.
