Resumen
Duitama es catalogada como la ciudad transportadora del medio oriente colombiano, sin embargo, a lo largo de su historia y al pasar de sus Gobernantes se perdió la visión de la importancia de las vías férreas en su territorio y sus alrededores. A finales del siglo XX, se realizaron importantes avances en el departamento de Boyacá en términos de infraestructura férrea, pues en dicho momento se veía este tipo de transporte como aquel que cambiaría el rumbo de la economía en el territorio Boyacense y gran parte de la zona norte, sur, oriente, occidente y central del país. Lastimosamente en pleno año 2022 estas vías se encuentran en total deterioro y son muy pocas las que están en funcionamiento a lo largo del territorio nacional. En el caso puntual de Duitama, algunas de estas sirven exclusivamente para transporte de carga comercial con un peso limitado de toneladas. Sería una enorme labor de los actuales y futuros gobernantes restaurar parte de estas vías férreas, y así lograr impulsar la economía interna de cada territorio.
Abstract
Duitama is classified as the transporter city of the Colombian Middle East, however, throughout its history and when passing from its Rulers it lost the vision of the importance of the railroads in its territory and surroundings. At the end of the 20th century, important advances were made in the department of Boyacá in terms of railway infrastructure, At that time, this type of transport was seen as one that would change the direction of the economy in the Boyacense territory and much of the north, south, east, west and central area of the country. Unfortunately, in the middle of 2022 these roads are in total deterioration and very few are in operation throughout the national territory. In the case of Duitama, some of these are used exclusively for commercial cargo with a limited weight of tons. It would be an enormous task of the current and future rulers to restore part of these railways, and thus achieve boost the internal economy of each territory.
