Resumen
Para esta investigación las relaciones de parejas mixtas se entienden como parejas conformadas por una persona afrocolombiana y una persona no afrocolombiana, es decir que en la pareja existen diferencias culturales significativas. La investigación pretende de forma general comprender los significados del vínculo y del apego en la construcción de relaciones afectivas en una pareja afrocolombiana y una pareja mixta, e indagar sobre alguna posible relación entre el ciclo vital y la fortaleza del vínculo y el apego. Se contó con la participación de dos parejas para un total de cuatro personas. Como criterio de inclusión una de las parejas debía ser mixta y la otra pareja debía ser afrocolombiana y contar con la mayoría de edad.
La investigación presenta un diseño cualitativo y los instrumentos utilizados para la recopilación de la información fueron las entrevistas semiestructuradas y un conversatorio para la devolución de resultados. El procedimiento consistió primero en una entrevista inicial con las parejas de forma individual (por persona). Una semana después se realizó la entrevista a profundidad la cual también se hizo de forma individual y la última entrevista se realizó en pareja.
Como estrategia de organización de la información se hizo un análisis de discurso por medio de codificaciones y categorías para tener un mejor manejo de la información, siendo el análisis de discurso la estrategia que más se adecúa a la presente investigación ya que permite identificar las construcciones lingüísticas que tiene cada uno de los participantes entendiéndolo desde la perspectiva individual. Así mismo, la construcción que tienen desde el punto de vista como pareja teniendo como factor principal la sociedad y la cultura en la que se encuentra inmerso cada participante. En cuanto a los hallazgos y la conclusión, se encontró que el significado que las parejas le dan al vínculo y al apego está relacionado con lo que para ellos es importante dentro de la relación es decir, el significado de estos términos para las parejas es lo que para ellos caracteriza su relación. Para la pareja afrocolombiana el vínculo y el apego significa libertad y compromiso ya que su relación se caracteriza por esos aspectos. Para la pareja mixta el significado del vínculo y el apego está enfocado hacia el amor.
En relación a las diferencias entre las parejas, una de las diferencias más marcadas fue la forma de solución de conflictos y los roles que se asumen en la relación. En cuanto al ciclo vital, existe una relación importante entre la fortaleza del vínculo y el apego, frente a la construcción que hacen con su principal figura de apego que en cada uno de los participantes ha sido su madre, otro punto a resaltar sobre el ciclo vital es la relevancia que tienen las situaciones y experiencias que cada participante tuvo en la niñez para la construcción de su proyecto de vida.
Abstract
In this investigation, mixed couple relationships are understood as couples formed by a person that is afro-Colombian and a person that is not afro-Colombian, which means that there are ethnic and cultural differences in the relationship. The aim of this investigation is to understand the meanings of the emotional bond and the emotional attachment in the construction of affective relationships in an afro-Colombian couple and a mixed couple, and also to inquire about any possible relation between the life cycle and the strength of the emotional bond and the emotional attachment. The investigation was attended by two couples with a total of 4 people. As a criterion of inclusion, one of the couples had to be mixed and the other couple had to be afro-Colombian and also, couples had to be adults, above 18 years.
The investigation presents a qualitative design and the instruments that was used to obtain the information were interviews. To return the results to the couples a debate was performed. The procedure consisted first in an initial interview with couples individually. A week after a second interview was made to complement the first interview which was also made individually, the last interview was conducted in partner with an approximate duration of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
As a strategy of analysis of the information obtained, a discourse analysis in which codifications and categories were made to have a better management and organization of the information. The discourse analysis is the strategy that best suits this research, since it allows us to identify the linguistic constructions of each one of our participants understanding it from an individual perspective as well as the construction as a couple, having as main factor the society in which each one is immersed in this case the culture of each participant. As for the findings and the conclusion, it was found that the meaning that couples give to the emotional bond and the emotional attachment is related to what is important to them within the relationship. In other words, the meaning of these terms for each couples is what characterizes their relationship. For the Afro Colombian couple, the bond and attachment means freedom and commitment because for them, their relationship is characterized by these aspects. For the mixed couple, the meaning of the bond and attachment was focused on love. In relation to differences in each couple, one of the most marked differences was the way each couple give solution to the conflicts in the relationship and as well the roles each person assumes in the relationship. As for the life cycle, there is an important relation between the strength of bond and attachment towards the construction they made with their main figure of attachment that in each of the participants has been there mother, another point to highlight on the life cycle is the Relevance that have the situations and experiences that each participant had in childhood, for the construction of their life project.
