Abstract

Schlumberger is working on a project called "Schlumberger X2" which refers to the migration of data and platforms for its largest digital upgrade to the SAP platform, three different applications are used for the purchase and supply of goods, such as: material for the characterization of oil holes to computers, which means that between platforms there are divergences related to their data, which prevents a migration to SAP, there are more than 700,000 purchase orders that currently exist, This must be corrected by programming code manually line by line as super users and/or administrators, it would take several years to correct all the data in the purchase orders by the members of the team due to the fact that there are other activities to be developed. Designing a system with different algorithms that establish the divergences between the different databases, it will be possible to obtain the data that must be corrected so that the applications coincide with each other, correcring cash flows of thousands of dollars, preventing, and avoiding legal actions against of the company, this would leave the countries involved fully prepared and will start the migration process for their digital upgrade.
