Informe de practica de trabajo social en el CPS comuna 8 de Villavicencio

Abstract

The Centers for Social Projection (CPS) are configured as a node of academic knowledge and, on the other hand, of social, cultural and popular knowledge that allow all the actors involved (students, teachers and the population of the localities where they are inserted) interrelate with the aim of proposing and generating projects in a real framework for the application of knowledge and whose result is the proposal of alternative solutions to problems. In this way, the CPS have the function of facilitating, ordering and articulating territorial planning processes in the social, academic, cultural and economic orders. (Santo Tomás University, 2017) In the particular case of commune 8 in Villavicencio, these are characterized by some elements that are common to the most vulnerable populations in any region of the country: illegal settlements, domestic violence, youth pregnancy, drug addiction, gangs, insufficient public services, low quality educational, among others. This situation is what merits the intervention of the University's Social Projection unit, in this case with the active support of the public accounting student who is the author of this document.
