Efectos del entrenamiento pliométrico sobre el salto vertical en jugadores de voleibol de playa: revisión sistemática

| dc.description | El entrenamiento pliométrico se ha consolidado como una estrategia relevante para mejorar el salto vertical en voleibol; en el voleibol de playa su análisis requiere considerar las particularidades de la arena como superficie inestable. La presente revisión tuvo como objetivo analizar la evidencia científica disponible sobre los efectos del entrenamiento pliométrico en el salto vertical de jugadores de voleibol de playa. Se desarrolló una revisión sistemática siguiendo las orientaciones de la declaración PRISMA 2020. La búsqueda se realizó en ScienceDirect, Scopus, Redalyc, SciELO y PubMed, mediante tres ecuaciones relacionadas con entrenamiento pliométrico, voleibol, voleibol de playa, salto vertical y potencia de miembros inferiores. Se identificaron 137 registros iniciales; tras eliminar duplicados, aplicar criterios de inclusión y exclusión, y revisar los textos completos, se incluyeron 22 estudios. Los resultados se organizaron en seis categorías temáticas: mejora del salto vertical, superficie de arena, sobrecarga, entrenamiento acuático, tecnología aplicada y variables complementarias. La evidencia muestra que la pliometría favorece el salto vertical, la potencia y algunas acciones técnico-tácticas, aunque sus efectos dependen de la duración, frecuencia, progresión, especificidad del ejercicio, nivel deportivo y superficie de entrenamiento. En voleibol de playa, la arena modifica la mecánica del salto y exige adaptaciones neuromusculares específicas, por lo que los programas no deben trasladarse de forma directa desde superficies rígidas. Se concluye que la pliometría es una estrategia útil, siempre que se planifique con criterios de especificidad, control de carga e individualización. | |
| dc.description.abstract | Plyometric training has become established as a relevant strategy for improving vertical jump in volleyball; however, in beach volleyball, its analysis requires considering theparticularities of sand as an unstable surface. This study aimed to analyze the available scientific evidence on the effects of plyometric training on the vertical jump of beach volleyball players. A systematic review was conducted following the guidelines of the 2020 PRISMA statement. The search was performed in ScienceDirect, Scopus, Redalyc, SciELO, and PubMed, using three search terms related to plyometric training, volleyball, beach volleyball, vertical jump, and lower limb power. An initial 137 records were identified; after removing duplicates, applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, and reviewing the full texts, 22 studies were included. The results were organized into six thematic categories: vertical jump improvement, sand surface, overload, aquatic training, applied technology, and complementary variables. Evidence shows that plyometrics improves vertical jump, power, and certain technical and tactical skills, although its effects depend on duration, frequency, progression, exercise specificity, athletic level, and training surface. In beach volleyball, the sand modifies jump mechanics and requires specific neuromuscular adaptations, so programs should not be directly transferred from hard surfaces. It is concluded that plyometrics is a useful strategy, provided it is planned with specificity, load control, and individualization in mind. Keywords: plyometrics; volleyball; jump; sand; power. | |
