| dc.description | En el capítulo anterior afirmábamos que sería interesante y pertinente introducir perspectivas epistémicas de talante más interpretativo en el debate sobre tecnología y sociedad. Decíamos también que en torno a los objetos tecnológicos que utilizamos a diario se van conformando prácticas sociales, discursos, y teorías. De ahí que se pueda afirmar que la tecnología exhibe una significación social y debe ser estudiada más allá de su materialidad. En este capítulo final propondremos una perspectiva analítica que, consideramos, nos puede abrir un camino para estudiar la ciencia y la tecnología desde un ángulo culturalmente más robusto. Creemos que la propuesta que se viene desarrollando sobre todo en el Center for Cultural Sociology de la Universidad de Yale, y que lidera Jeffrey C. Alexander, arroja pistas más que oportunas para atender las necesidades teóricas y metodológicas que planteamos en el capítulo anterior. Al beber de fuentes filosóficas, estéticas y antropológicas, la sociología cultural es una referencia clave sobre cómo cerrar la brecha entre humanidades y ciencias sociales a través de un proyecto interdisciplinar igualmente aplicable a distintos campos de estudio. | spa |
