Abstract

It is imperative to mention that the concern of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, better known as "UNESCO", for the risks that globalization brings with it, is a fundamental part of the strategies to safeguard the Intangible Cultural Heritage without losing the expressions of a heterogeneous world (The imminent risks of globalization for the expressions of a plural and diverse world are evident, therefore, the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, 2023, is promulgated). Due to this, the Ministry of Culture in Colombia has been in charge of strengthening the main international human rights instruments, generating a participatory community in the formulation of ideas and decision-making, promoting mutual respect between communities, ethnic groups and individuals. It is important to understand that the function that architecture fulfills as that element or tool that is used to transmit an intangible message in a tangible or material way is crucial, because in this scenario, architecture is part of the narrated history of Colombia and therefore its conservation becomes imperative, which is why heritage acquired a role predominant in the cultural panorama of the country.
