dc.descriptionThis paper aims at analyzing the role civic and citizenship education plays in construction of learning basic rights (DBA in Spanish) in social sciences. The theoretical framework and methodology used by the team of Universidad de Antioquia were based on revision of literature, analysis of experiences and validation by focal teams of teachers and experts. This study tries to provide the students with a citizenship education from their self-recognition as actors, able to transform a society that needs political subjects contributing to social issues.en-US
