dc.descriptionEl estudio recoge las historias de vida de tres profesores de idiomas: Juan, Sofía y Clara (seudónimos), quienes enseñan inglés y español. Este trabajo se enfocó en el diseño narrativo, el cual permitió responder a la pregunta de investigación: ¿qué revelan las historias de vida de tres profesores de idiomas acerca de ser un buen profesor de idiomas? Y a los objetivos de la investigación: describir y reflexionar acerca de las características personales y profesionales de un buen profesor de idiomas. El análisis se llevó a cabo siguiendo el análisis paradigmático en estudios narrativos propuesto por Polkinghorne (1995, citado en Bernal, 2004) este consiste en buscar temas comunes en un conjunto de narraciones recogidas como datos de base. Es así como la información recolectada fue analizada, codificada y categorizada. Esta caracterización reveló las características que hacen de estos tres maestros “buenos profesores de idiomas”.spa
dc.description.abstractThe study brings together the life stories of three language teachers: Juan, Sofía and Clara (pseudonyms) who teach English and Spanish. This work focused on narrative design, which allowed to answer the research question: What do the life stories of three language teachers reveal about being a Language teacher? Second, it is to respond to the objectives: To describe the personal and professional characteristics of a language teacher as revealed through the narration of three language teachers’ life stories, and to reflect on the personal and professional characteristics of a good language teacher as revealed through the narration of three language teachers’ life stories.The research analysis was carried out by following to the paradigmatic analysis proposed by Polkinghorne (1995, cited in Bernal, 2004). This paradigmatic analysis in search common themes in a set of stories collected as data of base. Therefore the gathered information was analyzed, codified and categorized. This characterization revealed the features that make of these three teachers “good language teachers.spa
