Según un informe sobre la situación mundial de las enfermedades no transmisibles
desarrollado por la OMS (Organización Mundial De La Salud) en el año 2015, estas
enfermedades afectan desproporcionadamente a los países de ingresos bajos y medios,
donde se registran casi el 75% de las muertes por este tipo de enfermedades.
