El video clip describe de una manera breve la importancia y pertenencia que tienen el Proyecto de Desarrollo Comunitario Letras ReUsables en relación con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, ODS. De estos objetivos el número doce, que es el de Producción y Consumo responsable marca un camino con respecto a la necesidad de pensar y reflexionar antes invertir los recursos naturales en productos industriales y que en caso de ser necesario la manera en que usamos estos productos y su vida útil para el ser humano. La manufactura de elementos escolares a partir del reuso de pendones promocionales de la Universidad Santo Tomás es una respuesta alternativa y consciente para la mitigación de la huella de carbono y es un aporte tanto de la comunidad como de la Universidad al cuidado del medio ambiente evitando el rápido desecho de estos materiales que demoran muchos años en su descomposición en los rellenos sanitarios. Por otro lado, el video también explica la posibilidad de que este material y la producción de estos artículos sea otra forma de ingreso para las mujeres artesanas de la localidad de Usme en el sur de Bogotá. El aporte del Programa de comunicación social cuya impronta es la paz desde propuestas de estrategias creativas e innovadoras, genera cambios positivos en el pensar y actuar frente a problemáticas sociales y ambientales.
Abstract
The video gives a brief description about the significance of the Community Development Project Letras ReUsables in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs. Among these objectives, the number twelve, which is Responsible Consumption and Production, sets a path in terms the importance to think and reflect before investing the natural resources into industrial products and, if necessary, reflect about the way in which we use these products and its useful life for the human being. The manufacture of school elements from the reuse of promotional banners of the Santo Tomás University is an alternative and conscious response to the mitigation of the carbon footprint and is a contribution of both the community and the University to the care of the environment avoiding the fast disposal of these materials that take many years to decompose in the dumps. On the other hand, the video also explains the possibility that this material and the production of these items is another way of income for women artisan in the town of Usme in southern area of Bogotá. The contribution of the Social Communication Program, whose sign is achieving peace by approaching it from creative and innovative strategies, generates positive changes the way of thinking and acting in front of social and environmental problems.
