dc.descriptionThis report represents the final business practice report submitted in partial fulfillments of the requirements to culminate my double degree in International Business between Universidad Santo Tomás in Bucaramanga and KEDGE Business School in Marseille, France. Problem: The central challenge identified during the internship at FEV Consulting, was the absence of structured, comparable, and forward-looking analytical intelligence in rapidly evolving strategic markets, specifically the unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) defense sectors, and the next-generation electric light commercial vehicle platform domain. Objective: The internship aimed to develop rigorous, competitive intelligence and benchmarking frameworks to support FEV Consulting’s strategic advisory abilities across the areas mentioned. Method: The methodology consisted of systematic secondary research, the construction of large-scale technical databases covering over 100 platforms and more than 15 parameters per platform, competitive benchmarking using tools such as PESTEL and SWOT/DOFA, and mainly translating the findings into structured client deliverables mostly for the European market. Results: The internship produced three comprehensive technical databases across defense and mobility topics, multiple analytical deliverables comprising 30 to 50 slides per project, and contributed directly to client-facing presentations addressing platform strategy, competitive positioning, and technology trend identification. Discussion: The experience showed how valuable it is to combine business analysis with deep technical knowledge in a consulting context: the ability to translate complex, fragmented market data into clear strategic insight, it also confirmed a clear professional direction: a career at the intersection of strategy, technology, and global mobility, which are the drivers of future implementations.
dc.description.abstractEl presente documento constituye el informe final de práctica empresarial presentado en cumplimiento parcial de los requisitos del doble título en Administración de Negocios Internacionales entre la Universidad Santo Tomas en Bucaramanga, y KEDGE Business School en Marsella. Problema: El desafío principal identificado durante la práctica en FEV Consulting, fue la ausencia de inteligencia analítica estructurada y comparativa en mercados estratégicos en rápida evolución: específicamente en los sectores de vehículos terrestres no tripulados (UGV) y vehículos aéreos no tripulados (UAV) para aplicaciones de defensa, y en el dominio de plataformas eléctricas de próxima generación para vehículos comerciales ligeros. Objetivo: La práctica tuvo como objetivo desarrollar marcos rigurosos de inteligencia competitiva y benchmarking orientados al cliente, para fortalecer las capacidades de consultoría estratégica de FEV Consulting. Método: La metodología consistió en una investigación secundaria sistemática, la construcción de bases de datos técnicas a gran escala que abarcan más de 100 plataformas y más de 15 parámetros por plataforma, el análisis comparativo competitivo mediante herramientas como PESTEL y SWOT/DOFA, y principalmente, la traducción de los hallazgos en entregables estructurados para clientes, principalmente para el mercado europeo. Resultados: La práctica produjo tres bases de datos técnicas exhaustivas y entregables analíticos de 30 a 50 diapositivas por proyecto, con contribución directa a presentaciones para clientes en materia de estrategia de plataformas, posicionamiento competitivo e identificación de tendencias tecnológicas. Discusión: La experiencia demostró el valor estratégico de articular capacidades de análisis empresarial con conocimiento técnico especializado en un entorno de consultoría, ermitiendo la traducción de información de mercado compleja y fragmentada en insights estratégicos accionables.
