Estudios de vulnerabilidad sísmica en edificios ubicados en el centro histórico de Villavicencio

La ciudad de Villavicencio, Colombia, está localizada en una zona de amenaza sísmica alta de acuerdo con la Asociación Colombiana de Ingeniería Sísmica - AIS. Esta situación hizo necesario evaluar la vulnerabilidad frente a la amenaza sísmica de los edificios con más de 5 pisos ubicados en el centro de la ciudad, con el fin de conocer su grado de vulnerabilidad frente a un sismo, y tomar medidas para reducirla. Se logró evidenciar que las edificaciones analizadas presentaron diferentes deficiencias estructurales y problemas patológicos, que en varios casos obligan a incorporarlas para ajustarse a la norma del código sísmico vigente. Con este trabajo, se encontró que algunas edificaciones requieren un reforzamiento de sus elementos estructurales, y se logró evidenciar que estas presentaron tanto el ISE como el IFL mayor a 1.0 lo que implica que requieren de un reforzamiento de sus elementos estructurales

Abstract

According to the Colombian Seismic Earthquake Association - AIS, Villavicencio, Colombia is in a high seismic hazard zone. This situation made it necessary to assess the vulnerability to seismic hazards of buildings with more than 5 floors located in the center of the city, to know their degree of vulnerability to an earthquake and take measures to reduce it. It was possible to show that the buildings analyzed presented different structural deficiencies and pathological problems, which in several cases make it necessary to incorporate them to comply with the norm of the current seismic code. With this work, it was found that some buildings require reinforcement of their structural elements, and it was possible to show that they presented both the ISE and the IFL greater than 1.0, which implies that they require reinforcement of their structural elements
