Abstract

The government of Meta considers tourism as a fundamental sector for the consolidation of peace and coexistence in the territory; With the aim of positioning itself as an Environmentally, Socially and Economically Sustainable Nature Tourism Destination (InstitLito de turismo del Meta, 2014) being a region with vast natural and water resources that have not been fully explored, it was an opportunity to show that since the The Faculty of Public Accounting is carrying out the project called "Structure of the tourist market in the municipalities of Mesetas, Cuharral and San Juan de Arama" whose objective is to carry out a characterization, identification of latent needs and application of analysis with a team of interdisciplinary work. Having been a participant as an assistant and intern at the Faculty of Public Accounting in this research, it was opportune for the application, development and strengthening of professional, personal and aptitude knowledge, contributing to this subject as important as the tourism sector.
