La historia del distrito de Turbo, la intensidad y la dirección en la que se ha desarrollado, han determinado en gran manera su situación actual. Turbo ha tenido un desarrollo importante basado en su potencial económico, ya que es considerado polo articulador de dinámicas regionales y puente de intercambio comercial y turístico, aspectos que son causantes de un crecimiento poblacional acelerado, siendo adicionalmente un municipio afectado por la violencia y la pobreza, y desafortunadamente los esfuerzos confeccionados para esta población, no han sido suficientes al día de hoy. La falta de oportunidades educativas para los niños y jóvenes, realza los índices de violencia y pobreza.
Para darle frente a estos problemas, y comprendiendo su importancia dentro del posconflicto, se plantea la educación como el motor que transforma vidas y sociedades, retomando a una comunidad que se ha visto grandemente afectada, ha sido parte del olvido y necesita sanar las cicatrices de la violencia.
A partir de la arquitectura como ejercicio social y transformador, y adjudicándole la capacidad de brindar respuestas a las necesidades reales y vigentes, se proponen estrategias y mecanismos de cambio que beneficien a la comunidad.
El entendimiento de códigos y lenguajes locales, permite vincular nuevas arquitecturas y le da un valor propio al lugar, determinando la importancia del desarrollo de actividades comunitarias bajo la sombra, la congregación, el esparcimiento, el deporte, y la educación, por medio de construcciones con materiales y métodos propios del lugar.
El objetivo principal de esta propuesta es, por medio de estrategias para el crecimiento de la cobertura escolar, velar por el acceso oportuno y de calidad a los diferentes niveles educativos a lo largo de la vida de los habitantes de territorio, logrando la reducción de la brecha social y mejorando la calidad de vida de las personas.
Abstract
The history of the municipality of Turbo, the intensity and the direction in which it has been developed, have largely determined its current situation. Turbo has had an important development based on its economic potential, since it is considered the articulating pole of regional dynamics and bridge of commercial and tourist exchange, aspects that are guilty of accelerated population growth, but it has long been a municipality affected by the violence and poverty, and unfortunately the efforts made for this population, have not been enough to this day. The lack of educational opportunities for children and young people enhances the rates of violence and poverty.
To address these problems, and understanding their importance in the post-conflict, education is considered as the engine that transforms lives and societies, returning to a community that has been greatly affected, has been part of oblivion and needs to heal the scars of the violence.
Based on architecture as a social and transformative exercise, and assigning it the ability to provide answers to real and current needs, change strategies and mechanisms that benefit the community are proposed.
The understanding of local codes and languages allows linking new architectures and gives the place its own value, determining the importance of the development of community activities under the shadow, the congregation, recreation, sports, and education, through constructions with materials and methods of the place.
The main objective of this proposal is, through strategies for the growth of school coverage, to ensure timely and quality access to the different educational levels throughout the life of the inhabitants of the territory, achieving the reduction of the social gap and improving the quality of life of people.
