Abstract

This report condenses the experience acquired as a freight broker at Destiny, a subsidiary of Pearce WorldWide Logistics, an American company dedicated to brokering land transportation in North America, this is, to facilitate the movement of merchandise, linking a truck that wishes hualing cargo with a client that requires the service, satisfying, as far as possible, the needs of both parties. Likewise, the processes and activities required to be carried out for the provision of the service are exposed, evidencing the need to apply technical and theoretical knowledge, studied in the academy, which must be combined with soft skills to achieve positive results in the activities mentioned. Finally, there are exhibited some strategies that were implemented in different areas that are worked on internally, it is to say, commercial strategies (to acquire clients, for example) or operational strategies (optimize the search for the right truck), in order to obtain better economic results in a highly voluminous and competitive market.
