Análisis de la gestión pedagógica y académica y su incidencia en el intercambio intercultural y el fomento de competencias para el crecimiento personal y profesional en un ABA de ELE mediado por la virtualidad

Abstract

In recent years, there has been a burgeoning interest in the advancement of intercultural competencies within the educational sphere, particularly in the context of language acquisition, such as Spanish as a foreign language (ELE). Nonetheless, only a limited number of studies have tackled the management of these competencies within a bilingual learning environment (BLE) and its consequential impact on students' lives. This research project aims to examine the influence of pedagogical and academic management in the virtual BLE of ELE, specifically focusing on intercultural exchange and the subsequent personal and professional growth of students. The study involved the participation of five Brazilian students enrolled in virtual classes facilitated by a Colombian teacher. Data collection was accomplished through interviews and surveys. The findings of this investigation reveal that the incorporation of interculturality in the virtual BLE of ELE serves to enhance language acquisition and foster the development of communicative, social, and intercultural skills, thereby conferring various benefits upon students' personal, occupational, and professional lives.
