Mitú: los rastros de la paz. La realidad del acuerdo de paz en Mitú- Vaupés

Abstract

This project carried out in Mitú, Vaupés is a research and journalistic production that accounts for the particular context of the jungle based on its economic, geographic, demographic and historical characteristics, which allow us to understand why the Vaupés define the territory as the "other Colombia". In a central way, it is evident that the implementation of the agreement is far from the reality of the territory, of an excluding and insufficient nature due to the lack of access to information, the difficulties of new sectors to access political participation scenarios, the prevalence of drug trafficking in the absence of the state, the precarious accompaniment in the reintegration process that has caused a phenomenon of stigmatization and exclusion of ex-combatants, the prevalence of illegal armed groups in the territory, the existence of extensive and unclear reparation processes and an exercise of truth that needs to be strengthened. The above is supported and reflected in a documentary mini-series that condenses in its narrative, the whole context of the territory, the development of the armed conflict in Mitú and the advances and setbacks around the implementation of the agreement in order to make visible its current condition and identify the needs of the inhabitants.
