En el Colegio INEM de Tunja, la limitada disponibilidad de tornos funcionales y la acumulación de materiales reciclables afectan la formación técnica de los estudiantes. Este proyecto tuvo como objetivo principal diagnosticar y reparar un torno del taller de máquinas y herramientas para su uso en la reutilización de dichos materiales y mejorar la práctica estudiantil. La metodología incluyó un diagnóstico técnico de los equipos inoperativos, la selección del torno 2 mediante una matriz de decisión, y la ejecución de las reparaciones mecánicas y eléctricas necesarias para su completa restauración. Se desarrolló también un plan de mantenimiento preventivo para el equipo recuperado. Como resultado principal, el torno 2 quedó plenamente operativo, lo cual se verificó con pruebas de funcionamiento. El plan de mantenimiento fue documentado. Este trabajo incrementa los equipos disponibles para las prácticas, ofrece una vía para el procesamiento de residuos y sirve como herramienta para enseñar el cuidado de la maquinaria.
Abstract
At the INEM School of Tunja, the limited availability of functional lathes and the accumulation of recyclable materials affect students' technical training. The main objective of this project was to diagnose and repair a lathe from the machine and tools workshop for its use in reusing these materials and to improve students' practical experience. The methodology included a technical diagnosis of the non-operational equipment, the selection of lathe 2 using a decision matrix, and the execution of the necessary mechanical and electrical repairs. A preventive maintenance plan was also developed for the recovered equipment. As a main result, lathe 2 became fully operational, which was verified through operational tests. The maintenance plan was documented. This work increases the equipment available for student practice, provides a means for processing recyclable materials, and serves as a tool for teaching machinery care.
