Abstract

the objective of this degree project is to develop an architectural project that responds to a specific need identified in the land use plan of the municipality of valledupar, specifically the fourth point of investment contemplated on page 54 of the 2027 territorial plan. this proposal focuses on the design of a fruit pulping plant as a solution to an agri-food problem that directly affects the region, seeking to contribute from architecture to the improvement of the productive, social and economic conditions of the territory. The research that supports this project was structured in three fundamental stages. first, an exhaustive documentary review of normative and statistical sources was carried out, such as the dane indicators, the municipality’s land use plan and decree 3075 of 1997, which allowed us to identify key problems, understand the context and define the design guidelines with greater precision. second, a study of architectural references was developed focused on two conceptual branches: the aesthetic and the technical. from the aesthetic point of view, aspects such as circulation, space and function were addressed, while from the technical point of view, we delved into issues such as structures, industrial architecture and bioclimatic, seeking to enrich the proposal from an integral and contextualized vision. finally, an interview was conducted with an expert with a doctorate in agricultural sciences, in order to precisely identify the spatial and functional requirements of an agro-industrial project of these characteristics. Based on the analysis and the findings obtained during these three stages, the design phase began, where the architectural proposal materializes as a coherent project response, based on the context, the real needs of the territory and the technical and aesthetic principles appropriate for its execution.
