Entre la Iglesia y la Mega-Iglesia: Un análisis comparativo entre el discurso de comunidades Cristianas en Bogotá

Resumen
El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad analizar la variación discursiva entre dos congregaciones cristianas: una mega iglesia (asistencia de más de 2000 personas semanalmente) y una pequeña iglesia (asistencia de menos de 2000 personas semanalmente), viendo al discurso no solamente como el expresado oralmente en el pulpito dentro de las reuniones habituales, sino también tomando elementos como las alabanzas, los materiales dados por las iglesias (cartillas, folletos, boletines, etc.) y fragmentos de reuniones aparte de las habituales (cultos), poniendo además la mirada sobre la institucionalidad y la estructura dentro de las congregaciones, estos elementos también permeados por la amalgama discursiva.
Para cumplir dicho propósito se hace uso de elementos metodológicos como el análisis de contenido y la inmersión dentro de las iglesias, donde la observación y el manejo de un diario de campo permiten recolectar la información correspondientes a 3 categorías claves de análisis: primeramente la Institución, donde se analizan los elementos correspondientes a la legitimidad y cohesión dentro de las congregaciones, estos elementos correspondientes a la normatividad vigente dentro de las dos iglesias, en segundo lugar la Estructura, donde se indaga por los roles y la división de labores dentro de las iglesias, teniendo cuenta la distinción entre las mismas expresada dentro de la tipología de este trabajo, por lo que las clasifica de acuerdo a su tamaño notablemente diferente, y en tercer y último lugar el Discurso, donde se entra de fondo al análisis de los elementos pertenecientes a lo que se entiende en este trabajo como el discurso emanado por ambas iglesias.
Dentro del análisis se llegan a reconocer claras diferencias dentro de los mecanismos de legitimidad y cohesión en las congregaciones, siendo estos inversamente proporcionales al tamaño de las Iglesias estudiadas, por otro lado, se resalta el carácter burocrático al incrementar el tamaño de la congregación, algo que afecta las relaciones sociales que se dan en los espacios dentro del templo y por último sobresalen las tensiones dentro del mensaje y la finalidad de este dentro de los púlpitos, donde en ocasiones se tocan partes similares pero con diferente interpretación o propósito.
Abstract
The purpose of this work is to analyze the discursive variation between 2 Christian congregations: a mega-church (attendance of more than 2000 people weekly) and a small church (attendance of less than 2000 people weekly), seeing the discourse not only as expressed orally in the pulpit within the usual meetings, but on the contrary also taking elements such as praises, the materials given by the churches (primers, brochures, bulletins, etc.) and fragments of meetings apart from the usual ones (cults), also putting the look on institutionality and structure within congregations, these elements also permeated by the discursive amalgam.
To fulfill this purpose, methodological elements such as content analysis and immersion within churches are used, where the observation and management of a field diary allow the collection of information corresponding to 3 key categories of analysis: firstly, the Institution, where the elements corresponding to the legitimacy and cohesion within the congregations are analyzed, these elements corresponding to the regulations in force within the two churches, secondly the Structure, where the roles and the division of labor within the churches are investigated, taking into account the distinction between them expressed within the typology of this work, which classifies them according to their remarkably different size, and in third and last place the Discourse, where the analysis of the elements belonging to what is understood in this work as the discourse issued by both churches.
Within the analysis, clear differences are recognized within the mechanisms of legitimacy and cohesion in the congregations, being these inversely proportional to the size of the churches studied, on the other hand, the bureaucratic character is highlighted by increasing the size of the congregation, something that affects the social relationships that occur in the spaces within the temple and lastly, the tensions within the message and its purpose within the pulpits stand out, where sometimes similar parts are played but with a different interpretation or purpose.
