dc.description | La reabsorción cervical externa es una patología poco frecuente que inicia en el área cervical del diente, presenta un patrón complejo e invasivo que la hace difícil de diagnosticar en su etapa inicial y considerada clínicamente como un gran desafío al momento de ser tratada. La mayoría de los autores reportan que los tratamientos de ortodoncia, trauma dentoalveolar y blanqueamiento intracameral son los principales factores etiológicos de esta patología. El tratamiento de la reabsorción cervical externa busca mantener los dientes afectados en un estado sano y funcional, el tratamiento exitoso se basa en la ubicación, tamaño, accesibilidad de la lesión. El objetivo de esta revisión fue determinar el tratamiento más reportados en la literatura para el manejo de la reabsorción cervical externa. La literatura revelo que el procedimiento más realizado fue el abordaje quirúrgico, siendo el ionómero de vidrio el material más utilizado. | spa |
dc.description.abstract | External cervical resorption is a rare disease that begins in the cervical area of the tooth, presents a complex and invasive pattern that makes it difficult to diagnose in its initial stage and considered clinically as a great challenge at the time of being treated. Most authors report that orthodontic, dentoalveolar trauma and intracameral whitening treatments are the main etiological factors of this pathology. The treatment of external cervical resorption seeks to keep the affected teeth in a healthy and functional state, the successful treatment is based on the location, size, accessibility of the lesion. The objective of this review was to determine the most reported treatment in the literature for the management of external cervical resorption. The literature revealed that the most common procedure was the surgical approach, with the glass ionomer being the most used material. | spa |
