La presente monografía nace del interés de la investigadora por identificar los factores socio-culturales que se configuran entorno a la medicina tradicional de la comunidad indígena de Macaquiño, departamento de Vaupés teniendo en cuenta el papel que cumplen los sabedores y la transmisión del conocimiento, la relación con la naturaleza (siendo guardianes de ella y utilizandola para el bienestar común), la identidad territorial, la cura de enfermedades y la tradición oral. La medicina entonces, es base del pensamiento holístico y sentido de identidad de los indígenas Cubeos, en ese sentido, también conlleva a la significación del espacio donde se intercambia el saber y de la cotidianidad de la comunidad.
Abstract
This monograph arises from the researcher's interest in identifying the socio-cultural factors that are configured around the traditional medicine of the indigenous community of Macaquiño, department of Vaupés, taking into account the role played by the knowledgeable and the transmission of knowledge, the relationship with nature (being guardians of it and using it for the common welfare), the territorial identity, the cure of diseases and the oral tradition. Medicine, then, is the basis of holistic thinking and sense of identity of the indigenous Cubeos, in that sense, it also leads to the significance of the space where knowledge is exchanged and the daily life of the community.
