| spa |
| dc.description.abstract | Burnout syndrome among health professionals is a growing concern due to its impact on worker health and the quality of patient care. Includes emotional exhaustion and depersonalization. This paper explores the factors that contribute to burnout and that can have negative effects on healthcare. A systematic theoretical review focused on burnout in nursing was carried out. Comprehensive searches of academic databases dating back to the year 2000 were conducted using key terms and synonyms related to burnout and healthcare professionals. Studies evaluating the relationship between burnout and work-related factors in nursing in healthcare settings were included, while studies focusing on personal factors and cross-setting comparisons were excluded. The analysis focuses on causes, consequences, and strategies to address burnout in health professionals. The importance of understanding burnout and identifying work-related factors, such as workload, long work hours, stress, and lack of resources, as triggers for burnout is emphasized. Individual, organizational, and systemic strategies are proposed to prevent and address burnout. Addressing this syndrome is essential to ensure quality care and protect the health of healthcare workers. | spa |
