Tendencias de investigación en sistemas integrados de gestión HSEQ: Un análisis bibliométrico y su vinculación con los ODS 3, 8, 9 y 12

Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of the evolution, structure and thematic orientation of scientific production related to HSEQ management systems and their articulation with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 3, 8, 9 and 12. Using data extracted from the Web of Science database and processed using VOSviewer software, publication patterns, thematic relationships, key authors, institutional collaboration networks and geographical distribution of knowledge were identified. The results show a bibliographic structure composed of seven main clusters that group concepts associated with quality, sustainability, environmental management, occupational health, organizational innovation, social responsibility and business performance. These clusters reflect both the normative bases (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) and emerging trends in the field, such as clean production, circular economy and digital tools such as machine learning. From an authorial point of view, researchers such as Mercè Bernardo (Spain) stand out for their high level of thematic interconnection around sustainability and integrated management systems (IMS), and Gilberto Santos (Portugal), for his focus on certification and application in SMEs. In terms of countries, Spain, Brazil and China lead in terms of volume of publications, although Spain and Portugal have a greater structural impact within the scientific network. The analysis of the bibliographic linkage identified three major research communities: a core oriented to ISO integration and sustainability, another linked to practical implementation in business contexts, and a third focused on organizational benefits and HSEQ culture. Relevant gaps were also identified, such as the scarce structural representation of topics associated with SDG 3 (health and well-being) and SDG 8 (decent work), as well as opportunities to strengthen interregional cooperation and applied research in strategic sectors.
