El Big Data en el mundo empresarial: sus ventajas y oportunidades para las organizaciones

Abstract

One characteristic in modern societies is the creation of a lot of data in a short period of time. The proliferation of information has required the implementation of analysis tools such as the Big Data. The Big Data offers benefits to private and public organizations because it allows the gathering, systematization, manipulation, and analysis of data, so the companies can make decisions based on real, accurate and concrete data. As a matter of fact, the use of Big Data Tools enhances that organizations can improve their clients management systems, the planning and structural organization inside the company, the knowing about the economical context and the identification of new business opportunities. Given the great importance of Big Data worldwide, Colombia has been compromised to regulate this industry, and it has developed a public policy to strength the introduction of Big Data in the private and public companies.
