Reflecting on the nature and epistemological foundations of
Religious Education in Schools (res) in Colombia is an urgent
task within the teaching and learning process. However, this task must
be undertaken according to the logic of the school, and not on the basis
of constructs whose significance and structure have not been analyzed,
as has been done for years. Indeed, res has been understood on the
basis of different perspectives or of personal religious choices, which
have materialized their pedagogical praxis according to approaches
framed by religious beliefs and principles, thus linking school contexts
to indoctrination processes. For this reason, this project inquires into
and presents an educational path that does not aim to be definitive,but rather to serve as a valid principle for critical reflection on the
daily work of teachers.
