| dc.description | La presente revisión narrativa de la literatura con búsqueda sistematizada tuvo como objetivo analizar la evidencia científica publicada entre 2015 y 2026 sobre los métodos de entrenamiento utilizados para mejorar la potencia y la velocidad en futbolistas jóvenes. Se realizó una búsqueda en bases de datos científicas internacionales aplicando criterios de inclusión y exclusión previamente establecidos. Se incluyeron revisiones sistemáticas, metaanálisis y estudios experimentales relacionados con el entrenamiento de fuerza, pliometría, entrenamiento combinado y sprint resistido. Los resultados evidencian que los programas combinados de fuerza y pliometría producen las mejoras más consistentes en la aceleración, la potencia muscular y el rendimiento del salto, mientras que la velocidad máxima presenta menores adaptaciones. Asimismo, se identificó que los programas con una duración de 6 a 12 semanas, una frecuencia de 2 a 3 sesiones semanales y una adecuada progresión de las cargas generan los mejores resultados en futbolistas jóvenes. Se concluye que el entrenamiento combinado constituye la estrategia más efectiva para optimizar simultáneamente la potencia y la velocidad durante las etapas de formación deportiva, siempre considerando el nivel de maduración biológica y las características individuales del deportista. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This narrative literature review with a systematized search aimed to analyze the scientific evidence published between 2015 and 2026 on training methods used to improve power and speed in youth soccer players. A systematic search was conducted in international scientific databases using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and experimental studies evaluating strength training, plyometric training, combined training, and resisted sprint training were included. The findings indicate that combined strength and plyometric programs produce the most consistent improvements in acceleration, muscular power, and jumping performance, whereas maximal sprint speed shows smaller adaptations. In addition, programs lasting 6 to 12 weeks with a frequency of two to three sessions per week and progressive overload yielded the best outcomes in youth soccer players. It is concluded that combined training is the most effective strategy for simultaneously improving power and speed during youth player development when biological maturation and individual characteristics are considered. | |
