Resumen

En el presente trabajo de grado, se analizó un proyecto de planeación y puesta en marcha, de una solución de comunicaciones unificadas basada en software libre para un cliente corporativo. Se hizo énfasis en la planeación del proyecto desde sus primeras etapas, tomando como referencia las recomendaciones del Project Management Institute, (PMI) y se depuraron todas y cada una de las áreas del conocimiento recomendadas por dicha organización internacional, para demostrar, cómo debería ejecutarse y administrarse un proyecto de esta naturaleza. Se tomaron además como referencia, algunas recomendaciones tomadas de otras metodologías de gestión de proyectos (ITIL) y la experiencia transmitida por los docentes, durante el transcurso del postgrado.

Abstract

In this degree project, a planning and start-up project was analyzed, of a free software-based unified communications solution for a customer corporate. Emphasis was placed on planning the project from its early stages, taking as referenced the recommendations of the Project Management Institute, (PMI) and the each and every one of the areas of knowledge recommended by said organization to demonstrate how a project of this kind should be executed and managed nature. Some recommendations taken from others were also taken as a reference project management methodologies (ITIL) and the experience transmitted by teachers, during the postgraduate course. The first stage consisted of managing the integration of the project, where the defined the general and specific objectives that the project should meet in order to satisfy customer requirements. At this stage, the phases of the project, responsibilities, a high-level description was made and a presentation to the client of the planned project budget. The methodologies for change management, management of risks and the different eventualities that could affect the development of the project. Subsequently, the different areas of knowledge consigned in the PMBOK and the importance of the correct planning of technological aspects was demonstrated such as structured cabling network and compliance with regulations and standards international for the equipment used in this project.
