Consideraciones sobre la pertinencia de nuevos programas de posgrado a nivel multicampus

La Unidad de Posgrados en el marco de su planeación estratégica y su línea de trabajo “pertinencia de oferta académica: aspectos generales de los programas de posgrado”, que tiene como objetivo, apoyar el cumplimiento de las políticas y lineamientos emanados institucionalmente y que son liderados por la Unidad de Desarrollo Curricular y Formación Docente (UDCFD), con el fin de favorecer una oferta académica de programas de posgrado pertinente y coadyuvar a la planeación estratégica de los mismos, presenta este documento como segunda fase de la revisión de la oferta académica de programas de posgrado en Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES) pares la USTA en 2021 y 2022-1. En coherencia, presenta algunas consideraciones sobre la pertinencia de nuevos programas de posgrado a nivel multicampus, con base en el reconocimiento de las características curriculares, la oferta de posgrados a nivel nacional, el cumplimiento de los lineamientos en el diseño curricular de nuevos programas, a fin de generar recomendaciones en la toma de decisiones asociada a la oferta posgradual. En consecuencia, el documento se compone de tres partes: 1) revisión a nivel global, nacional e institucional de los principales objetivos en la educación y consideraciones a nivel de pertinencia para la creación de programas, 2) definición de aspectos a tener en cuenta para evaluar la pertinencia sobre la creación de programas académicos y 3) conclusiones y recomendaciones para las instancias académico-administrativas que acompañan este proceso en la institución.

Abstract

The Postgraduate Unit within the framework of its strategic planning and its line of work "relevance of academic offer: general aspects of postgraduate programs", which aims to support compliance with policies and guidelines issued institutionally and which are led by the Curricular Development and Teacher Training Unit (UDCFD), in order to favor an academic offer of pertinent postgraduate programs and contribute to their strategic planning, presents this document as the second phase of the review of the academic offer of graduate programs at Institutions of Higher Education (HEIs) peers the USTA in 2021 and 2022-1. In coherence, it presents some considerations on the relevance of new postgraduate programs at the multi-campus level, based on the recognition of the curricular characteristics, the offer of postgraduate courses at the national level, compliance with the guidelines in the curricular design of new programs, in order to generate recommendations in decision-making associated with the postgraduate offer. Consequently, the document is made up of three parts: 1) global, national and institutional review of the main objectives in education and considerations at the level of relevance for the creation of programs, 2) definition of aspects to be taken into account for evaluate the relevance of the creation of academic programs and 3) conclusions and recommendations for the academic-administrative instances that accompany this process in the institution.
